my clutch get screwed up. my mechanic is thinking that the clutch may have been faulty any recommendations? i would ant a stage 1.

Exedy OEM or Exedy Racing clutches.

Reason being, a couple of the other manufacturers actually use Exedy discs in their clutch kits so why not just go to the source.
Also I haven't really heard of anyone having problems with their Exedy clutch.

Damn, I didn't know the Doc sold clutch kits, some of them are quite appealing.
Anyhow, I'm using a Centreforce Dual Friction (stage 3 in centreforce if u want to call it that) and it does me great and grabs hard with stock pedal feel.

I have a Southbend clutch in my 7th gen, All-Trac and Supra. i love em and have given me no problems

I got the centerforce stage 1 w/ TO bearing for under 230. I'm still breaking it in but my left calf is the same size as my right

I don't really understand why anyone would need a "staged" puck clutch unless you have forced induction on your engine, or if you have really high compression. Pick a brand you like and break it in. I have no basis of comparison, beings as I've only run stock and my ACT clutch, so I can't really recommend anything. All I can do is tell you that I like what I have.

thanks for the advice guys. i'm thinking about having my mechanic putting a stage 1 in. he uses refurbished clutches. after i blow my stock one he put a refurbished one in and the springs broke so the clutch company gave me a new one and covered the bill. that was the third clutch (second refurbished one) to go in. so now it's clutch number three. i'm tired of these crappy refurbished pieces of junk. i'm gonna go stage one and also a trd short throw too.
