What does it mean when the AC light blinks? - 6G Celicas Forums

Hey my AC doesn't work and as you may or may not understand, Florida is hot. The LED on the button blinks. WTF is this? When recharging it with freon, it doesn't seem to need it.

Compressor? Fuse?

your aircon control units are different to ours but mine stopped working as gas got too low got it regassed all was fine the bloke that did it told if gas get low they cut out not to damage anything
Could be an issue with a fuse, electrical connection, pressure switch, revolution detection sensor, compressor and/or clutch, a/c amplifier, or control unit itself.

I would have to guess it's the compressor clutch, either that or an electrical connection, that's usually the case anyway.

I thought when it blinks the AC amplifier was the problem. Have you done anything to your wire harness lately ? there is a plug that comes out of the harness in the pass side footwell that plugs into the AC amp.

That list is directly from the BGB troubleshooting for the A/C not blowing cold air, I just narrowed it down because that flashing light usually means it's something in the electrical components.
