I popped positive on a drug test! - 6G Celicas Forums

Can anyone, plz, for the love of god tell me why i could have popped on the drug test for opium/morphine? I don't do drugs, I'm not around drugs, and I haven't even seen drugs in the past 5 years! I've takin dozens of drug tests in the military and never had a problem! could it have been something I ate? any input on this is better than no input... mad.gif frown.gif mad.gif frown.gif

(Urban Legend) the seeds on Mc Donnalds, Burgerking, Whataburger (ect) hamburger buns will make you test positive for opium. IDK if it's true, but that's what i've heard.

Poppy seeds (the black seeds on bagels and other baked goods) have been known to cause false positives in drug tests.

You taking any prescribed medicines? Many include substances that will cause drug test failures. Cough syrups that warn of causing drowsiness are particulary susceptable but hayfever drug, some antidepressants/antianxiety and many other commonly prescribed drugs can also cause positive readings.

Yes, poppy seeds can cause positive readings but you need to eat masses. Bagels and certain rye breads contain large quantities of poppy seads.

Maybe someone slipped something in your drink to try to take advantage of you???? Do you recall anything like that? If not, be advised that memory loss is common in that situation and you were probably drugged. Hope you were not the unsuspecting victim of forced buggery.

Before any one goes out trying to get high off of poppy seeds, the amount of opiates contained in the seeds are minuscule, so don't bother with it...you'd have better luck sniffing fermenting orange juice...
