Currently I have a sony xplod deck, sony 800w amp and single 12" sony sub 1300w, and stock 4 speaker system. The sub is kinda blown, the bass is not clean and distorted when you turn it up. So what Im thinking is replace the current sony sub with another 12" and then replace the 2 door stock speakers and the 2 rear seat stock speakers with aftermarket ones. But what size is a direct replacement for both the front door speakers and the rear seat speakers? And what company should I get the new sub and speakers? I have max of $200 to spend on both the new sub and all 4 new speakers and i dont want any used stuff, learned my lesson once. any help is appreciated. thanks
200 is nothing for that many speakers unless you have a connection and get discounted prices. I say replace your sub since its blown and then go after the rest of the speakers.

Polk, Cerwin Vega, Infinity, Kicker all have decent price entry level subs that you could buy and sound good.
So are the speakers hard to replace? I was thinking about doing something along these lines, since my driver's seat speaker is blown and rattles/has crappy bass.
Ok but what are the sizes for direct replacement of the 4 speakers (doors and rear seats)?

the rears are 6 1/2s. and your doors should be 4"

my car had the premium audio pack. So i have in the doors 8, 4, and tweeters
4" I think they are bigger than that... no? I have a 94 ST Hatchback with the 4 speaker system, 2 in to doors and two in the back seats.
You probably have the stock 8 inch front speakers. You can put 6 1/2's in ther but you need to cut up your old speakers and use the ring from the 8 inch to fit in the 6 and 1/2's.

in the front you could have 6.5" with a ring around to mount into an 8" hole i think thats what i have
i have a 94ST and have removed my front speakes for a future install. i'm waiting for the new imagedynamics 8s to come out.

anyway, the front speakers are 6 1/2s mounted into a metal ring piece that is 8 inches which is connected to a plastic housing type piece that is bolted to the metal frame of the inner door. you can remove the plastic housing piece then remove the speaker from it to make installing easier. or if you want to go with 8s up front, you can then remove the metal ring piece from the plastic housing then use MDF to adapt the new speaker to the plastic housing.

the rears are 6 1/2 and would be an easy drop in install.

you could get a set of JBL GTOs for the front and a JBL GTO sub for less tha $200 from Crutchfield and just keep the stock rears for now, and you'd hear a vast improvement. cheers
When I saw you mention "learned my lesson once" I immediately thought "for $200, you are going to be learning another lesson." Just my opinion, but $200 for speakers and a sub is quite low, and I wouldn't get expectations on quality up too high.

Do the sub first if it is blown, then worry about the speakers after. I run with stock fronts and aftermarket rears and I think it sounds great.
My sub cost 200+ and i only have one.. You should get an Infinity.. they have such clear bass
