so i decided to give rasterbating a try last night. This is how it turned out

the first one i did the line breaks on the 2 upper horizontals were too large but I was ok with that (i didn't notice until i'd already taped it together)


This is the second one i did, much thinner breaks, but it was supposed to be in color. I had forgotten my home printer doesn't do color (well at least the one i was using at the time)



basically its a picture blown up, broken down into sections (pages) and then recreated using dots (i chose to use 7mm dots) Which these pictures because of the quality of my phone doesn't show the dots very well.

(sorry the picture quality sucks, it was taken with a cell phone)

anyone else tried this?

Isn't there a website that sets that up for you? I remember doing it a long time ago.. pretty neat.

That's so cool! I was talking to the GF yesterday about doing this manually cause we bought a picture frame that's like those puzzles you used to get in party bags where one payne of the picture is missing and you have to rearrange it until it makes all but the one missing payne is correct and shows the picture again [You guys know/remember those?]. I'd like to take one picture and rasterbate [ ] it and make one of those puzzles out of this picture frame - I think that would be preferable to putting individual family members in each small square like it was intended.
Hope you guys are following me cause this is pretty difficult to explain.

i believe those were called Rubix-Puzzles. (that's what my Uncle called em atleast) you'd always get cheap crapy ones in your halloween sack from the house of old people who didn't believe in candy.

man. i used to have this huge angelina poster on my wall. jesus, i thought i printed it out to be a small poster but it came out to the size of my wall lol.

I did this sort of thing, but without turning images into dots. I just enlarged them and then printed. It's up on my apartment wall.

and i opened this thinking...well haha i think ill give it a try...
