Theres a thread about it natalie, if its carpet covered its wiring, if its an actual box then its a stock alarm, and u need t buy a remote to activate it.
oh i have the alarm already! sorry i didnt feel like looking around! plus you answered it quickly so its not a big deal that its a double post

Thanks

I thought I read somewhere about a factory amp being under the driver's seat for some sound systems. I don't have it so I don't know for sure but that's the first thing I thought when I read the post.
i just found another one of those boxes under the cigarette lighter, along with the one under the seat. so it cant be the alarm because there can't be 2 alarms.

but then i remembered the guy who put in my sound system said i have 2 built in amps......so those must be them.

umm isnt the silver box under the lighter the ECU...yea i think it is.
umm the ECU would be under the glove box... and behind the lighter is the factory amp. take it out if you have an after market stereo cause its just sitting there doing nothing. Plus it makes for a great area to smuggle drugs!
yeah, its an amp under your seat. I used my factory amps with my new headunit, and it sounds great. So i guess no hiding drugs for me.... >frown.gif>

My factory amp had to be unpluged to make my clarion headunit work.. as for the thing under the seat im not sure... heard once that it was a ground junction... all I know is NEVER touch it with a positive wire.. made that mistake once >frown.gif>

edit: Chrobis your sig is funny >biggrin.gif> >biggrin.gif> that just made my day
