Okay, New developement...
I just got back from lunch, and when i turned off the car (at the post office) the A/C controls shut-off, but the power window power did not

So half the problem cure'd itself... WTF...
But when i got back to my shop, it all decited to stay on, and wont go off for anything.
Is it possible that i have something wet from the recent hurricane, maybe something is leaking... idk... Maybe something that needs to dry?

Well, after studying electrical breakdowns, sience 7am (currently 2pm, i had 20 min lunch and that's it

) so after 6.5 hours of studying this thing... i've come to the conclusion that theonly thing it could be is the damn ignition switch. It would seem atleast
Does anyone have a spare?

It can't be the ignition switch, if it was, the problem would have gone away when you unplugged it.

True... I'm not thinking stright, staring at these wiring diagrams... Although i may not have pulled the proper harness yesterday.
BUT!! i did pull the fuses (all but the 100A as told) and that didn't help either... Although after inspecting these diagrams (cant find the windows) the A/C and heater & blowers are all on the 100a fuse, so idk wtf to do about this all...
I suppose i'll see if i can disconnect that 100a and if that helps, but that doesn't cure the problem...
I guess the first step is going to be taking out this damn alarm, or disconecting it so that it can be isolated...

Pulling the 100amp requires removing the plastic housing from around the fusebox and unbolting it on each side...

what would you reccomend as far as repairs go then? what would be the easiest way to track down this problem?

I would totally eliminate the alarm system and put everything back to stock.
Well, let me rephrase that, if *I* were there, I would take a multimeter and trace the problem out and figure out why it's doing that. But I've got a hunch that it's the alarm system.

If you have a alarm with a remote start then there would be a bunch of wires connected to the wires that connects to the ignition. I dont know about the engine kill thingy though on the alarm. But when i bought my car the previous owner had an alarm and took everything out except the wires and a relay that connects to the ignition wires. One day i turn off my car and didnt turn off either. took off battery and opened it up to find that wire and took it out and plug the regular ignition wires to where it should go and everything works fine again.
Yeah, that's what i'm dreading. I dont have remotes to the alarm or nothing... I have no idea whats installed in this damn thing
I'll try to remove it tonight then, hopefully i'll have good news tommorow morning.
BIG thanks to griff with the MOUNTAINS of paperwork you sent me! If i could just find a
month to read it all then i'd be in good shape

i'm not b!tching, Its DEFF a good thing

Well, lastnight when i parked at the house, it didn't do it... When i got to work this morning, it didn't do it... Lets wait till lunch, because this may throw a whole new theory...
It may be possible (as unlikely as it seems) that durring the mad hurricane, something leaked and got something wet and caused the lines to cross... and as it dryed it got better...
Or because i promised my Celica a garage last week, and i'm barely getting the keys today, maybe she was being mean with me because i didn't make good on my offer when i said so

i'll continue to re-assure her

(
women
)
but if it continues to work perfectly, then i suppose i need to turn my attention to sealing the car up as to not leak where ever it leaked

But i suppose thats an easier fix than the alternative. (still removing that damn alarm though

)
i'll update after lunch (i've got to turn my car off 2wice durring lunch)

interesting turn for the worst...
Alarm started beeping... for no reason... It was making that "warning" beep, ya know the quick beep before the alarm goes off? But it was doing it every second. Litterly, every second it would beep. EX: BEEP 1sec BEEP 1sec BEEP 1sec BEEP 1sec (ECT) and drained the battery.
So i got a jump and disconnected the alarm. Now the alarm isn't BEEPing anymore, but it's still back to the original problem.
Now it's not an "all the time" kinda thing either

at lunch, the A/C turned off, but the windows still had power. And vice-vera this morning when i got to work. It's pretty fcukin strange. I'm going to pull eveything apart and trace all the wiring based on the diagrams that have been given to me. (Thanks Griff)
If anyone wants to suggest anything else before 5PM i'd love to hear it. I wont have internet over the weekend. Thanks guys!

Could it be the whatever controls that function of letting you roll up windows etc for 1 min after the key is removed?

Just follow those diagrams and remove anything spliced into them... put it all back to stock

no. Whatever it is is being bridged into a constant 12V source. Otherwise it'd cut off after 1 min. Secondly, i dont have this feature. My windows (usualy

) stop instantly as the key is removed. Normaly it has to be in ACC to send power to the windows.

Exacaly what i'm planning on doing. It'll make trouble shooting this problem ALOT easier if it isn't the alarm. For the time being, i'm even going to remove my stereo system from the mix, it can always be hooked up later, But having a large automatic capicator could cause some confusion. i'm going to keep it as simple as possible.
Thanks Doc.

Okay, Gremlin slain i believe. I also busted a lamp
When i droped the panels under the wheel, it looked like Techno-Spiderman took a big wirey sh!t down there

Sh!t was frayed, filayed, betrayed and 9 kinds of other aid's. Jacked up it 'twas.
Now other electrical problems are fixed as well, for example, i was posting on a different thread about how when i took my key out my headlights stayed on, and everyone thought that was wierd, but now that dont happen anymore. Sweet!!
I'd like to shout out a big
>>>>>>THANK YOU>>>>>> to Dr. Tweak for access to his vault of knolage he stores in his head (you really are a fcuking Genius!!

) And to Griff for the wiring diagrams, I could never have gotten eveything back to stock without them!!
BTW does anyone know a good way to get the metal prongs out of the harnesses? one has been distroyed to no end of disaster

i'd like to get that fixed right.
