my new alpine has usb port, so i did not wat to have a cable around. I got a single din ashtray and cig lighted and modded it to accept my usb drive!!!

That's pretty sweet.

I think whenever I get my deck, I'll just put the iPod in the space under the radio hooked up with a short cable. Shouldn't create too much of a mess.

Just moddify your cup holders to hide your i-pod in:) i did it and it is awesome!!!
