97 Ford Taurus GL bought used at 60k $3000+ in three years on repairs, gave it to the scrap yard at 130,00 miles due to loss of overdrive gear and brake lines rusting out. (further inspection showed rockers rusting-jack went through.)
97 Celica GT Convertible hott! bought used 110k miles super white w/black int., 5spd, 8 spkr stereo, American Racing Estrella wheels from PO -much nicer than stock. Current best mpg is 32mpg.

I'm not going to laugh much wink.gif

I mean, at like one point there was like 50,000 of these things on the road SOMEBODY had to drive them.

IMHO Aerostars are alright... I mean, you could have gotten an Exploder or an Escort.

Damn 97 - that's quite the list. So since you have exstensive driving experience with a wide variety of vehicles - how would you rate the Celica in comparison for say handling, power [I know you're 7A but tell us anyway], looks and overall. How about your other Toyotas?
just looking for an opinion from someone qualified to give one wink.gif [I think the Celica is the best overall vehicle ever made but looking at my list of previous cars I'm probably the least qualified to give an opinion as every car I've ever bought for myself has been at the very minimum a Celica GT and almost every other car I've bought has been a Camry or tC so...]

Hahaha

well the 94-98 strat/cirrus/breeze are gas sippers if its the 2.0 manual and fun to drive speak from experience but i do like the ride of the celica better, but they are still mopar so imo is blah
hahaha my stratus was the 2.4L auto that guzzled gas compared to my Celi and had front end problems which led to its eventual demise through tight windy valley roads kindasad.gif

wait what? battery? front?
Maybe its just the difference between the 2 engines but my battery was tucked conveniently under the back seat where nobody knew to look before it was dragged off to the wreckers. wink.gif

That sucks, but probably for the best seeing as how you have a Celi now. Still I'm surprised that your experience with the cloud car was positive but then again I heard it was a completely different car in other places. (Like mexico gets it turbocharged kindasad.gif)

Drove a Nissan 240sx and blew the engine. My mom wouldn't let me keep in her driveway when I moved out so I had to sell it for $400. Kinda wish I could have fixed it up though and kept it, but now I got something that will make heads turn once it goes the way I want. Plus I have bigger and better cars in the future that I can to my tunnel vision on to.

91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
my parent's 1989 Pontiac Bonneville...memories. However, the celi was my first own car.

Then i bought a 93 Corolla as a winter beater and then bought a 2003 V6 Accord as a beater upgrade biggrin.gif ...still owning the three cars atm but planning to sell the corolla in the winter
