i bought the VIS carbon fiber hood from toyocelgt95. i talked to a lot of people. some said that it can't be done. while most people said that it could be. any suggestions. i wanna paint it red to match my car. it is in good structural shape. it has one minor chip and a lot of scratches, some smaller some deeper.

painting carbon fiber is the EXACT same as painting anything else. yes it is possible and yes it does happen
Carbon fiber is just fiberglass using a carbon fiber cloth and clear-gel resin. That's it. It can be painted just as anything else. Remember to use a good prime and it'll stick for as long as the rest of the paint does.

i would do a clear color (like a stage2 of a candy process)on top of it so u can still see the texture .. if thats how its done????????????? idea
yea, u can even sand the crap out of it and re spray it to look brand new if u wanted to keep it CF
