WAZUP EVERYONE!!!

LAST WEEK I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT.. SADLY MY LOVELY AND BEAUTIFUL CELICA SUFFER A BROKEN BUMPER, A HOOD THAT NOW LOOKS LIKE A TOSTADA, AIR BAGS POP AND A BROKEN WINDSHIELD.. NOW ALL OF THIS HAPPEN CUS SOME GUY SLAM HIS BRAKES AND WHEN I HIT MY BRAKES MY CAR SLIDE AND SWERVED ALL OVER THE PLACE.. I WAS WONDERING IF ANY ONE KNOW OF A VERY GOOD AFTER MARKET RACING BRAKE SYSTEM FOR MY 94 ST CELICA. MAYBE BIGGER CALIPERS,ROTORS AND PADS, AND WHAT CELICA HAS THE DISC BRAKES IN THE REAR THAT COULD FIT MY ST?
for an ST

fronts you may use the 7th gen gt-s brake system - I have all the parts you need for that if you wish to purchase everything from me - pads, rotors, calipers, mounts, bolts

rears you may use the regular 6th gen GT disc brakes - can be found at local junkyards that actually have celica's for about $200 or less

you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss(2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick

HOW MUCH FOR THE WHOLE SYSTEM????
Why are you screaming? Don't use CAPS it gets annoying.

Ksport.
a) stop using the freakin caps button, geeze

b) you don't need super cool big brake racingz kit yo!

c) you need to learn how to drive. Every time a kid hits someone this is the first type of post i see, because of lack of knowledge.
don't follow so closely and you should NEVER have this problem. Your DRIVING is the PROBLEM not your brakes.

d) HAWK HPS/ Akebono are both quality pads that I recommend. Also Brembo blanks are a good quality rotor. Stainless Steel brake lines and routinely changing brake fluid will all help with maximizing your braking performance.

e) you can only stop as well as your tires can hold traction

f) you'll never stop well if you just slam the brakes and lock up your tires.

Hope this helps and increase your following distance and pay attention to your driving.
Oh yeah what Dan said also.. Get good tires.

p00r driving methodology.

If you hit someone in the ass, you are following too closely/ not paying attention or driving too fast. don't worry about behind you worry about in front of you.

obviously by the train of events you did not drive "ok".....or you wouldn't have wrecked your car wink.gif
don't worry we all been there, but just realize the real reason instead of blaming your brakes...
pull the ebrake too next time smile.gif

You say you don't understand how we go dumb, but have you ever been where i'm from?-=-] Livin it in tha bay's a lil different [-=-

Clearly since you locked up the wheels, your brakes work just fine.

As others said, need to learn how to drive, maybe take an emergency driving school like Bondurant. Get a car with ABS until then.
What makes you not a kid?

so how much are you selling the whole brake system for?
Personally I have never gone up the back of any one, touch wood.
But better brakes would still be nice.
Yeah, I've never been in an accident either. I think I'm just careful...I never really speed, try to keep my distance, anticipate possibly dangerous situations...etc. etc.

Knock on wood. wink.gif
IMHO a perfectly acceptable brakes upgrade for a 110 HP ST beast laugh.gif is the rear disc conversion, good quality pads/rotors and maybe stainless lines. Anything beyond that is just for show.
After i read the thread, I can see why its so hard to find answers on this site. I just dont find criticism to be productive guys..

Heres a link i found on celicatech.com with some big brake info. Its not the "answer" but its more in the right direction then anyone else has advised this far.

Best of luck
I beg to differ, I was speaking from my own experience, which was constructive anyway, not just a bashing.

I didnt specifically call anyone out, but its obvious on what is constructive and what is not in this thread..
Pads are a great upgrade if you want to improve your braking. Hawk HPS's or some EBC's should do you fine. brake dust will be a problem tho...if you have white wheels like me

What are you talking about? this is the only thread ive seen so far that had criticism, and it was definitely constructive and necessary.
dont know how many threads you've been reading, but i've come across some hostile posts too.
