I'm deciding whether or not I should go wingless, and I'd like to see what you guys have. Influence my decision to go through with it!
Wingless guys, chime in - 6G Celicas Forums
I prefer spoiler/wingless. I am rolling like that now and it feels pretty good.

do you think that spoilers really do anything aerodynamically, I know if they did, it would be very minor but i wonder if there is a slight difference.
well since you have a drop it really doesnt matter. i say go get some white bathroom plug thingys and plug 'em up when you feel like it and throw on the spoiler when you wanna fell bad ***. i take off my spoiler every weekend to detail the whole car. it only takes like 5 mins even less if you dont be really careful
I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
i was thinking of looking for a red 'spoilerless' hatch and just swap hatch doors whenever i felt like going spoilerless... might be too costly though.. lol

I bought some flat/rounded end bolts and a washer. I used tape to keep them from sliding near the end and used a nut to tighten them. Was easy.

Did you plug up your holes or are you just leaving them open?

Spoilerless was something I was never too excited about from looking at pictures, but once I took mine off and saw it in person I liked it so much I eventually had the holes filled

I like spoilerless but I think black is definitely the best spoilerless.
silver spoiler less
this guys car is very nice looking without the spoiler.

What size are your wheels (and tires) and what kind of suspension do you have? That is a perfect fill! Mine isn't like that, still got a small gap even with a 1.7" drop, 17" wheels, 215/40/17 tires.
By the way GotToyota, it looks great!

Oh god that wingless silver one looks nasty...I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I don't have any other aesthetically enhancing features and was wondering if it would fit in with the rest.
I was wingless for about a week before i painted my car and hated it.
If you do do it you gotta have a duckbill like hurleys.
Sorry, no animated sigs allowed.
Does going wingless affect the handling of the car under normal driving conditions?
I saw in another thread that the 2 post spoiler creates around 250kg of downforce (50kg w/ riser blocks), according to the Toyota engineers.

it wouldnt affect much cuz we're fwd. i tried taking the touge here with and w/o the spoiler and all i have to say that it feels different but not a dramatic change.

I just took mine of, no problems with it. Still have to seal everything though.

mine is wingless. i was iffy at first cuz i like the h-backs with the wing so when i got my coupe i was like awww.but coupe rear wingless has grown on me and i think it makes it a little less ricey.it makes it look sexy and smooth lol its in my sig

Personally, I think the Celicas only work well wingless if they are either the coupe or have a duckbill. It helps the looks if they are dropped, too. Having said that, I'm planning to go wingless.

I was wingless for 2yrs, but im sick of that look now.
I'm going back to ST205 blocks now because i think it just makes the car look more complete.

NO! Your car actually sealed the deal on me taking mine off...

Like I said in that other thread, replace the hatch with a carbon fiber version to match your hood.
