hi

I have some questions about swaping my engine.

I have st202 with the 3s-ge and I want to swap it with the 3sge beams (Red Top), so can I use 3s-ge gear with the beams ???

because I found half kit for celica SSIII with 3s-ge beams (Red Top) but its auto trans.

and do I have to do any wiring changes to start the car???

I have never swapped a BEAMS motor but I can tell you that you will be able to use your transmission but you will not receive the benefit of the LSD differential that comes with the BEAMS that way [Not sure if the Auto has LSD as I have 0 experience with automatics].
I would suspect there will be wiring issues - defenitly make sure you get the ECU and the wiring harness.

hi

thanx bro, I'm thinking to buy the engine complete with every thing (wiring,computer,sensors) but without the computer.

I just want to make sure that I'm not going to have any problem with the gear and the wiring.

so is there anyone who can give me more info on this swap...

Dr. Tweak would know the answer to this I bet...

my initial guess would be that the ECUs are different, but I really have absolutely no idea, since it's still a 3sge to a 3sge swap. The ECU isn't available from the donor car, I take it? Why not search eBay for a BEAMS ECU? I can't imagine it'd be that hard to find actually.

where are you located? U.S. , or united arab emirates. are you talking about the beams on ebay?

if you get an auto, your in bad shape. cuz you will need to source a manual ecu, the auto ecu is not going to work, unless you get some kind of stand alone engine managment IDK, and you will need the tach, or a tach adapter.

wiring should not be that diff, but Tweak charges around 400 for the job. Look under phoenixtuning in ebay,

or pm him.

and I found the engine in a junk yard but its a full half kit (engine,wiring, ECU,ect...)

how much is the manual ECU and what are the changes in wiring I have to do???

wiring wise, ask tweak.

are there other goodies in that car in the junk yard, like mirror relay, splitters, etc, etc.

not much as for wiring IMO. If you can find a manual ECU that would be good.

they are rare, that is why your best bet is an manual tranny engine.

i sawp my engine and it is work

i use manal trans with auto ECU and it is work

al the guys told that i cant swap this engine if i dont have manual ECU

so can anyone give me info about the problems that i will get it in future if i use this ECU?
