JDM Seatbelts are Different? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #62509 5 posts Started by DEATH
LOL - So I installed my JDM SS-III red and black seats yesterday and since all looked well I jumped the gun and sold my old seats to 02bluerolla before ever having tried to use the seatbelt. Never would have guessed the seatbelt clickers would be of a different size and since they are mounted in the seat itself I ended up with an unmatching set kindasad.gif
Anybody else have this problem? What was the fix?
Batman, Hurley? You guys have this problem?

BTW - they look really nice - I'll post a pic here and in my build thread later - meantime got to get some clickers so I can go to work tongue.gif

Oh damn - I was in the shower and called you back 15mins later and no answer - must have been in that cell dead zone near Conroe. Cool - thanks a bunch. I was hoping that there was some obvious fix so that we wouldn't have to canabalise your 7th gen seats that maybe someone herre would know.
I'll see about getting some more clickers next weekend at the junkers and I'll give them to you.
Thanks again.

BTW - Why would JDM clickers say "press" on them? Do they all say that everywhere around the world?
Guess if I was a real ricer I'd be trying to source some mad tite JDM seatbelts yo! laugh.gif

Finished up - POC.
Thanks 02bluerolla - I'll give you those other clickers just in case they work with the belts on whatever you decide to drop those 7th gens seats in

the 94-95 male and female parts of the seatbelt systems are different than the 96-99. You would need to use the you 94-95 "clickers" (they match the part on the belt ltself) for the 96+ seats. I guess you figured that out already smile.gif
