Sorry to be making these useless threads, but I need some insight. I'm in the process of taking my spoiler off, and I've gotten that middle bolt off fine. The end two are giving me a problem. I have a drill with the socket wrench bit, but none of them fit and I'm trying to get them off with a regular socket wrench except it's a bitch. Any advice on how you guys did it?
Taking spoiler off - 6G Celicas Forums
Okay, I've gotten all of them off. Except now there's two dropped wrenches in the hatch. How nice.
Spoiler's off, removing adhesive now...I think I like it better. I'm gonna rock it like this for a while, I could always put it back on...
Fair do's, but personally i dont like spoilerless celicas.
but saying that, look at the spoiler I have. lol

Too late for that, it's off. The residue is a pain...
I have a socket stuck in my hatch as well. I can't seem to get it out for the life of me.
i have a few floating around certain places in my car. they dont rattle or anything so it doesnt bother me

It was such a pain to get to those bolts...

Pry the end (towards trunk) off with a screwdriver, and then just pop the rest off. It's easy once you see how it works.
So, it's quite dirty-looking now...I have to get the residue off, still, and figure out exactly how to fit the plugs. Problem is that there's two holes that are circular on the ends and the last one is oval, so it doesn't really fit nicely.
However, I'm liking the look. It took an hour or two to get used to, but it just flows so nicely...I'd need JDM tails, an exhaust, some 17's and a lowering job to get it exactly right, but at least it looks better than with the 3-post. If anything, I'd consider throwing a 2-post on.
But I like it.

i get a hairdryer and heated it up and rubbed it around alot of it came off already, just the really hard grotty glue thats just stuck.

Getting that glue off was way more annoying than when I debadged it. God that stuff was sticky...
I guess I should say "trying to get it off," since I never got it off.

Goo Gone? I know you can pick some up at the 99cent store or a dollar tree. I used that and got a rag, wrapped it around a flathead screw driver and rubbed it out (for the debadge I did). But Goo gone works pretty good, and if a rag don't cut it, then use your fingers.

I used Goo Gone and Goof Off, but neither were abrasive enough to have an effect.

Don't forget to cover the holes up or your hatch will be full of water and sockets.

If you're referring to me, it's already covered up...with the stock spoiler.
"she can polish my strut bar anytime As long as her blow-off valve's in good order"
That would actually sound like a decent way to do it. Sadly, I put the spoiler back on is what I was saying.
