Topic #62815 6 posts Started by Remy
I'm having some problem taking out my exhaust manifold the bolts that are located on the bottom of the manifold are a !@$% to get off I got one off or will....it snapped off and I'm having problems getting to the rest of the bolts located behind on the bottom of the manifold is their a easier way of getting them off ?? And yes I do have the chilten and haynes manual for the car. Thanks kindasad.gif

Edit: I don't have a impact gun either.....
Edit 2: I'm trying to change my gaskets btw.

u could try some anti-seize, and then a longer cheater bar. Or you could take it to a shop and have them loosen the bolts for you, they might want like 20 bucks. I would replace them once you do get them out.

man i thought mine was tough, that sucks... a breaker bar did all those for me but the bottom o2 sensor was the worse on my manifold. it was 100 percent rusted on.

if your having that much trouble i would look into having someone with an impact gun do it, and make sure you put in new bolts when you put it back on

spray lots of wd40 then go at it with a breaker bar. You'll get it.

Had a problem with a real bad bolt before, had to take it to shop where they had to torch it. Might be an option.
