Topic #62820 14 posts Started by tomazws
For sale is another pair of rear disc setup off of a junk GT.

Easy direct swap. all you have to do is unbolt the entire knuckle off the control arms and link (5 stubborn screws) and replace with the disc brake version. Follow and reattach the hand brake cable and brake fluid tube and you are done.

$250 + Shipping obo.

EDIT: HERE'S THE PICTURES FROM TODAY

The 2 brakes

This setup includes the ENTIRE thing, including working calipers, hydraulic, etc. Though you might need new PADS and new ROTORS.

The hub, the knuckle, e-brake cable, brake fluid tube, it has EVERYTHING. Straight plug and play (or bolt-in and play).

Boxed and ready to scale.

I was wrong with the comment below. I AM able to put'em all into 1 box. I found a box that is smaller than the UPS's suggested "dimensional weight".

77.15LBS. I am shipping from 91789. You may find any shipping method, and I will just ship it your way.

Box sealed.

So basically. 5 Screws, attach ebrake cable, and connect brake fluid line. You might want to get your own rotor, and pads.

Shipping alone to east coast will cost at least $100. I've sold a couple of these for $300, $350 + shipping, and without knuckle for $200, $250 + shipping.

Each brake requires its own box for sturdiness.
Each box is about 50~55 lbs.
Shipped from 91789.

Or you can help me find a cheap shipping method smile.gif

Didnt slowyota just sell a rear conversion to ruggedboy for $180 shipped?
Maybe someone should contact him to see how he shipped them, shipping was like $30 or $40 bucks for these.

Sorry, no animated sigs allowed.
Maybe he took off the disc brakes from the knuckles?

Should I take off the knuckles? Because with the knuckles, installation is simply unbolt, and then bolt.....

Mine includes #3, 6, 7, 8, 9 and the entire rear disc brakes all the way up to where you put the wheel on.

Anyway I'll have pics up soon. smile.gif
