well my shifting isn't smooth and its not me. the stick is like notchy, it's not grinding gears, it's just not smooth as in it doesnt go in the gears with smoothness. Is there a part where i need to add grease or suttin, in the ball n socket of the shifter?

Do you still have gear fluid?

Drain and refill your transmission - many people on here (including myself, having done this less than a week ago) recommend Penzoil Synchromesh (you'll need about 3 quarts but buy 4 just in case). It's about a buck more than Valvoline (which I'm sure is also fine) but the fresh tranny oil will very likely resolve your problem. Search "change transmission fluid" or something on here for a how-to. It's VERY easy.

Be sure to check the old tranny fluid for metal shavings - a clear indicator of a much larger problem.

where can one get this Penzoil Synchromesh in local chain store? I haven't ran into it at pepboys or autozone as far... maybe i should ask them instead of asking? where would you recommend looking?
