i made a ipod holder/display in my center arm rest area. its made form plexi glass and i plan on lighting it up with leds eventually and it looks foggy to have the light travel all through the peice of plexi. looks like crap form the pic but im happy with it and i can stuff put stuff in there with out damageing my ipod

He put a plexi plate in his arm rest.
So...you have external means of controlling your iPod I'm guessing?
do u think its gonna get scratched up tho? the plastic i mean

You say you don't understand how we go dumb, but have you ever been where i'm from?-=-] Livin it in tha bay's a lil different [-=-
its actually 4 layers of plexi. a solid plate on the bottom a second plate with the ipod cut out in it a 3rd top plate to hide the cord which is painted black to hide the cord and a clear top plate to keep everything safe, the clear plate has been fogged out so when i get the time to run leds or neons to it the light will travel all the way through the plexi and not just on the edges. i really need to make a new top plate since the one i have now is cut kinda jagged. its still a work in progress. and yes i can controll it by my new head unit its a bit slower to find songs but its easier in a way much bigger screen easier to see. im working on riht now getting custom graphics into the head unit from 6gc and ill take pics of everythign when its fully done. and i did this just so i could leave my ipod in my car and not have to worry about it getting scratched. ive had it 3 years and not a single scratch so its just an insurance policy for me i guess.
I like it.
