When you first put your key in the car and turn it to at least acc it will self diagnose. You will see the airbag light come on and then go back off. If it doesn't go off then you have a problem. wink.gif

Pull up your center console, there will be a silver and yellow box.
Ground a wire to the chassis
strip the other side
Take the harness of of that silver&yellow box, and stick the striped side of the grounded wire in there
?????
Replace windshield. (no profit frown.gif )

lol, jp tongue.gif

I think there is some way of running a multi meter to one of the lines to see if it's active... But i'm sure as hell too scared to mess with any of those lines. I've seen the wiring diagram for it, but I dont remember where it was...

what if it doesnt come ON at all?? would it be safe to assume that its not working at all or its been used??
1) accelerate to at least 50 MPH
2) aim for a wall/tree/barrier of sorts
3) wait for results
4) ????
5) profit.

Yeah, i believe that would be a problem in that unit in your center console. That would probably be (i guess) what would need to be changed... It's the electronic "brain" of the air bag system.... Unless there is a fuse that goes to it that may be blown. Be careful with that though...

IDK 100% if there is a fuse or not, i'll check when i go to lunch. biggrin.gif

the fact that nobody acknowledged your lame overused underpants gnomes joke suggests that nobody found it funny. Why did you feel the need to bump it? cwm13.gif

If you keep posting spam you'll end up on mod preview. thumbsup.gif

Guys, where exactly on the gauge cluster is the airbag light supposed to be? I don't think I see one....

Of course you don't, it should be off. But it's in the lower right, it is red I believe. Says AIR BAG.
and its supposed to light up when the key is on the "ON" position? not happening for me..

It should briefly light up, only for 5 seconds or so.
You guys are lame. If the SRS light stays ON... then you got a problem. If it doesn't... assuming all of your fuses and such are working, then everything's fine...

o0o0oh nvm my posts. I saw it, it was on the extreme left side, a man with a big round circle in front of him. It lit when i actually started the car, and remained on for a few seconds after.

I never really noticed, i would always just start n go!
