FS: vincent_doggy's cooling plate - 6G Celicas Forums

Hey vincent for the cooling plate im having some issues with the hood supporter (not sure if its called that) the metal thing that supports the hood to stay up when you have your hood open. If i had the cooling plate installed is that suppose to be still accessable to use? Cause i cant seem to position back in its spot with the cooling plate in place. And i wont be able to close the hood cause its sticking out on the engine bay. Unless i have it under the cooling plate making in un-usable.

>>Thats an old story, even I have the Genuine Laile one still encounter the same problem, but easy to fix, no big issue at all!!

1st Option: Bend the prop a bit in the middle that might collide with the hood lock, Slam the hood serveral times and see
2nd Option: Modify the Gas Hood Lifters
Last Option: worst come to worst just remove the prop and place at trunk>>

Thats something most of us would need to compromise on especially with this mod. I have one of these but a C-One one and I cant use my stand too. Slaming the hood shut mite not be a good idea.
I know some people are able to close their hoods but its so tight. Most people take it off and leave it in the boot like I do. Small price to pay for such an effective cooling mod though.

One thing you can try is loosen the 3 bolts on the catch behind the bumper and lift the catch up as high as you can before tightening it again. That will give a bit more space and maybe enough to fold down your stand.

just kinda sits there, the bend, about halfway up the rod, sits right up against the panel in behind the hood latch, and the hook "catches" just barely underneath where the front bumper attaches. my clip is broken, dunno if it has to be or not.

i was planning on getting the as struts but hey i slammed shut my hood with the hood support rod, just had to straighten the bend on the rod and it clears just just just had to slam it a little harder to close..lol..

ordered the struts earlier today, don't wanna risk playing with 'weakened' metal.

still gotta install the hood struts on my tacoma....
