Topic #63641 8 posts Started by Toyota_Celica_97
hi everyone i got his side skirt off of rushkit.com and i was wandering how to install it myself.

i try it out today but it doesnt seem to fit.

do i have to take of the oem side first, or what?

oh yea its an z side skirt.

if anyone can tell me step by step on how to install it will be really nice of you.
do u have stock side skirts?

BANNED. for life, you moron.
Yes you have to take off your OEM sideskirts first.
I think what hes trying to say is, if he needs to take off the oem side where the sideskirt will cover. The answer is no it goes over it. If you have experience in fibreglass yeh you could try do it yourself. But if your someone like me and dont, id be better to let someone experienced and in this line of work handle it.

The sideskirts need to be trial fitted, primed then sprayed, then fitted with screws and glue. I myself dont know too much and dont want to say wrong information so ill end it here

stock skirts should have a few screws either end in the arches and underneath there is 5 or 6 bolts that you need to take off.

If you havent done it before its best just taking it to a bodyshop but you'll never learn yourself that way, so if it were me, i'd give it a go yourself first, just at taking off the stock and placing on the new one. If you don't feel comfortable at that stage then call it quits and go to a bodyshop.

thanks alot for the helps. everyone

yea i figure if i run to the shop everytime a part come in, i will never learn how to do it myself.

and if i havent done it be4 and everytime i just say" i never done it be4 so ima take it to the shop" then i will never have it done by my self.

welps tomarrow ima take of the oem side skirt and try to place the z glide on it if its too much then i guess i will have to take it to the shop. wink.gif thanks alot guys and girls and anything in bewteen
