Thrust bearing - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #63925 6 posts Started by Rav4Race
Hi friends. I just imported a new exedy Racing clutch kit stage 2. The problem is
that i haven't got it with its thrust bearing:( So can i use the new clutch with my stock thrust bearing or
is it urgent that i get an exedy thrust? Or can i just simply get a new st-205 thrust bearing? plz help
you could put your old one back in...but dont.

for the sake of $50 buy a OE one and use that, i couldnt think of much worse then using your old one and it failing in another 1000 kms so u have 2 pull the box out again.

yeah dont use an exedy one, they would just be a el cheapo. Get OE yo.

i have re-used throwout bearings before with no problems. just get an OEM one if you need one

Just go to Toyota and buy a new OEM one. Don't even think about not doing this or not resurfacing the flywheel. You should be able to do both for ~$100 - don't cheap out.
