will a 3sgte from a mr2 bolt right up in my 99 GT? and i have read somewhere that the mr2 tranny is stronger and has LSD. will the transmission from the mr2 work in my GT also? one more Q, why is the 3sgte more expensive than a 3sgte from a celica? everywhere i look the mr2 engines are more expensive.

it will bolt up, but you will need mr2 inner axles, alltrac outers, and possibly spacers.
also you will need st-205 rear, and passanger mount and brackets, and st205 shifter cables.
just FYI, not all mr2t trannys are lsd, only 93+ mr2t's had LSD available as an option.

i think part of the reason for higher prices is more demand, and the cars are generally worth more to begin with.
