parking brake pads/ help - 6G Celicas Forums

Just put on new parking brake , try to put rear drum ill will not fit on,

there is an adjustment wheel at the bottom of the drum assembly, you gotta adjust it in so that the pads come closer together, then fit the rotor on, then line up the hole in the rotor with the adjustment wheel at the bottom and adjust it back out.

I have the adjustment set all the way , and still will not fit, all spring are tight as well,
did you get aftermarket shoes or toyota?

Trust me, I do this every day

This might sound totally retarded, but is your parking brake engaged? Only reason why I ask is I was doing my rotors a while ago and did the front no problem, then went to the rear and couldnt get them off. Turns out I had a helluva time trying to manhandle it, when i realized my parking brake was still set. If your brake is set the rotor will not go over it. Sometimes its the stupid things....

na i wish that was it , going back in morning to work on it left for a cpl days
