Hey all,

My gt seems to be chirping/squeaking slightly between hard shifts. No clue what it is? Sometimes it seems to be coming from the rear, but then at times it sounds like it's under the hood. Didn't really start becoming noticeable until the weather got really snowy (yay Canada). Any ideas?

are you talking about the belt?

not sure... If it is, I should just change the belt?

I'm not 100% positive but I think that my uncle's 94 GT has the same exact problem you are describing. Every time he power shifts into 3rd gear, at pretty much any rpm level, there is a crazy sounding clicking-like noise... Hard to describe, when i first drove it and asked him about it he told me it was a 'syncing problem' or something..

is your clutch new? does the sound happen after you first turn on the car - feel the belt, it would be very noticeable. could it be your suspension -weak? Check on these things.
