I know this is not nearly as glamorous or interesting as discussing engine swaps or body kits... I put a couple scratches on my celi's left side trying to drive out of a parking that was obviously too small. The scratches arent too deep (I don't think they went through the primer). Last time I had to get some body work done on it I ended up shelling 30 000Y (about 300$) so this time im definitely gonna try to do it myself. Anyone can provide advice on how to do this? Any help would be really appreciated.

sounds like it! yeah, i looked it up on wikipedia and got lost reading about japan and stuff.

you can try scratch treatment stuff like rubbing compound. maybe a wet sanding and buffing, if you have the tools.

If you have a buffer then you can do this:

Get the appropriate color touch-up paint (from auto parts store or Toyota dealer)
Fill in the scratches, try not to get too much outside of the scratch but it's ok if you do, apply 1 coat at a time and allow about 10 minutes of drying time in between.
With 1500-2000 grit sand paper wet sand the scratches to bring the touchup and original paint to a smooth level.
Buff with a wool pad and good buffing compound, followed with a foam pad and lighter compound, then hand wax or use a fine pad with wax.

But if you don't have the tools then probably get some touchup if needed, then just use a good coat of wax over the area.

hahahahaha. Kyushu. I was there for the summer. Didn't get to drive but, yeah, you're right roads are VERY narrow.
