I just bought this '94 st and it just really has some problems mostly under 3000 rpm. It's jerky and sputters. As soon as it hits 3000 it runs smooth but before that I'm kinda gettin tossed around. seems like its just when the engine is under kinda heavy load.

It has new sparkplug wires but I haven't checked the plugs yet. plugs supposedly changed a little while ago.

any ideas?

check the plugs, if theyre bosch platinums then change them. also change the cap and rotor.

yep I put new plugs in and its great. the ones the last owner had in were total garbage. problem solved

do the cap and rotor as well, they need it.
