alright so i'm getting anxious for Starcraft 2 to come out so I installed the original starcraft to get "back in shape?" anyways does anyone still play?
Also is anyone sleeping with a blizzard exec and can leak me the REAL release date?

Love the new features for the game.....suppose to be a triple release for each campaign or something. Can't wait to use the Protoss MotherShip!

How is Warcraft or Diablo? I might pick them up until SCII comes out.

how does wc3 compare to SC? Do people play lotr-style maps on wc3? They are my fav.

Diablo was a very fun game. I dont' know how it is now, but there's probably a lot less ppl playing and a lot more hacking/duping since it's been out forever.

havn't played sc for years. Be nice to play sc2 once it comes out

id rather have Diablo 3 personally. I heard that with SC2 the three singleplayer campaigns are being sold seperately. But any one campaign will let you use any race in multi.

Warcraft three is VERY similar to starcraft..its like warcraft is ancient..starcraft is in the future...Warcraft battle.net has a lot more games/people on it..

ive nvr played diablo..

Definately a need for balancing work in the game. Watching the match that they had shows the no-longer-existent dominance of protoss units that came from the price increases and slower build times.

Terran will finally be worth using...strange.

And as much as this game looks fun, I think i'll be more into Diablo 3 when it comes out. :-\

you do know that you can download any Blizzard game you own directly from the Blizzard site if you have registered the game...

There's a beta version you can download without pre-order. But its very difficult to configure to run properly and the AI is stuck in noob mode. Its awesome though.

I have seen a demo of original star craft. Having spent last 6 years playing world of warcraft I just cant make the switch to robot type thingies.

Make sure your computer is up to par with the game. Many people try to play these things on their 10 year old mom's dell computers at low settings and dont get the same kick out of it.

Assuming the people who are talking about Diablo mean Diablo 2? Diablo 2 is still an amazingly fun game despite the out of control gold spammers and bots running around. Imo, its best played with a solid group of friends on your own password protected games.

Just my 2 cents wink.gif

Edit: Seeing as I totally got offtopic talking about D2, I'll go ahead and throw in the fact that I haven't played Starcraft in a looooong time but SC2 looks great from what I've seen!

Might as well give my 2 cents as well smile.gif. As a former D2 nerd (I was probably one of the top people in U.S. West server), that game was insanely awesome. It is best played when you have all the best gear and charms and kill everyone in a game with minimal effort.

Also, I am going to install SC when I get the chance to figure out how wine works on Linux. SC was such a fun game to be and 7/27/10 is going to be an epic day. When I get some money and time, I am going to shell out some and have some amazing fun with SC2, which looks mindblowing. I got to figure out exactly how much it requires from a computer.
