Basically, we used to have bad ass meets in Florida. Then people started going their separate ways and being lame. So I propose we plan a meet and invite everyone from Florida and Georgia, or whomever is willing to drive to it.

I say we plan a meet maybe around the end of March / first of April.. when the weather is nice and hot. =) I also say we make a whole weekend out of it (this is just a maybe at this point) -- the main meet will be on a Saturday.

So here are some date proposals.

a. March 28-29

or

b. April 4-5

Then I need some locals to figure out a meeting place, and activities to do. Maybe a park and have a big cook out? Suggestions please. So come here, vote on a date and then make suggestions.

I'd be down for any one of the Saturdays, I don't think I'd be able to do the whole weekend.

As far as where we'd meet! I dunno. Everything is so tourist oriented here. I can't even begin to think of a place that is quiet that we could park up and relax besides some large big box store's parking lot... That wouldn't be very fun at all. There aren't really any "pretty" places either, im frying my brain trying to think here, nothings coming to mind.


Maybe we could do something like a cruise from a point a to a point b and then go eat at a restaurant?

Actually, I know of a place where a lot of other people (S2K's, Integra/RSX, Supras, and i think 7th gens celicas.. ) meet at this import tuning store called Kami Speed in SW Orlando. I've never been there myself but I'm sure we could contact them and set up to meet there, providing anyone is going to come to the meet!!

And I read about a new race track that just opened but that's pretty expensive. But looks fun! CF Road course

I'm down whenever and wherever given notice. I'll ask around for good places to chill. Food won't be a problem as there is eleventy billion options.

Toyota Celica Meet

Hey Everybody...
If we do this the spot I would like to do it would be out in Orlando somewhere,I have tons of friends that I could call as where we could do it out there.
Its Centrally located in the middle of the State,people from South FL can make it like me,Central FL People,Tampa,and its not to far from Jacksonville either. A Saturday,or Sunday is fine with me. I would also like see if we could invite other Cars as well like Supra's,Mr2's,and of course all gen Celica's,because I have a All Trac,and a 01 Celica GT-S. Our Turn out can be huge... Now its just finding a spot. I will call around today to see.
This meet sounds really good,I know a lot of people will be looking forward to this...

I have not been out to a Orlando meet since last November,when I did go out to Orlando,it was off of SR50 behind SteakNShake on Tuesday Nights in the Burrinenton Coat Factory Parking Lot at 9pm. Lots of Cars use to go up there until the Cops broke it up.
If this goes down as planned,I have a spot that we could have one hell of a Toyota Meet March 28th Saturday at 10 Am up in Lake Mary,they call it Cars For Coffee. I will get a hold of the owner that host that event every Month and we could have our own section for Toyotas. I know a lot of people that go up to this meet,not methion there are restaurants,drinks and all that stuff around us.

I'm in the Tampa area with a '94 6Gen (original owner) and haven't been to Orlando in awhile. I'll come if I don't have to work on the weekend. I also have a friend with 6Gen that is looking for some ideas...I'm sure he would go too

I did a little search on recreation parks and such today.

Is anyone familiar with Lake Fairview Park? It seems like it'd be perfect, but I don't know. Give me some feedback.

If its the weekend of March 28th-29th, I'll prolly be down in Orlando visiting a friend (its also my birthday weekend ) I wouldnt be able to bring a Celica, but I would be arriving in one of 2 400+whp cars!

Someone fill me in about this park! Has anyone been there, etc?! If I get no responses, I'm making it the meeting spot whether you like it or not. =P

Well I am silly but my job is kind of need based, so I may need to work on any weekend. However, I still think I could pull some strings to be there on whatever weekend we pick. If we are going to have it at a park, I'd also be willing to chip in with some cook-out money. Keep us updated

Honestly Jen, I've never been there, mainly because it is not the "greatest" neighborhood to be in over there by John Young pkwy and OBT.-- high crime area, and there has been vehicle burglaries and other awesome things that appear on the 5'o clock news from that area, one that actually took place at that park earlier this year..

I think the 2nd one looks good jen. But we need to come up with somewhere to stay if its going to be a all weekend or deal. But as for the place the 2nd one looks really good im willing to throw money down for the food and stuff to. I have alot of work to do to the celi before i come up there lol. It looks like $hit lol. And now that i think about it what happen to adam i havent seen anything around with his name on it now that i think about it?
