What plugs are you talking about? RCA's? What are you wiring subs or your mids? If your playing with those 4 plugs and not the ground then i'd think its those plugs, but im not sure what ur talking about.

Is this a new amp? I had an amp and the RCA's on the amp became loose and so it didnt work. It could be ur plugs, i recommend some with gold plating and they screw on kinda - to remain tightened. I would try a different pair of RCA's and see if that helps.

well, its a fairly new amp(1 or maybe 2 years old) but the RCA's are gold plated and theyre not loose, its just when they are plugged in completely, the music or whatever im listening to stops like everything got disconnected
And when you start to fiddle with the RCA's it comes back on?

yea i have to loosen them all so that theyre not completely on but theyre on enough so that electricity can flow
check the plugs in the back of the head unit
Put the ends you have on the amp onto the deck and vice versa.

you have a short
on the amp or speaker the positive is hooked up the negative or visa versa.
by connecting the sound to it fully its grounding itself out. if you barely do it then its not connecting enough to ground out thats why its working partly plugged in
run new wire to all the speakers from the amp. use atleast 14 guage
i have 12 guage wire to the interior speakers and 8 guage to the subs
