ya unfortunatly im on a stock head with stock cams etc... lol! im starting to build my spare head right now and get ready to do that and swap the clutch out for an fx700 at the same time and turn the boost up lol. ALSO keep in mind im @ 6000 ft elevation which equates to about 300-500 rpms of spool are lost due to elevation sigh... stupid thin air lol

AH HA so it's as capable as i thought... great.
I guess this sorta encourages my rediculous plan if the stock head with stock valve timing flows enough to give you over 400 ft lbs of torque thanks alot man now i'm seriously going to do it hahaha.
I want to WPC treat the stock pistons and rods and buy new race spec main and rod bearings as well as piston rings have those WPC treated as well. Then run an emanage ultimate with 880 CC injectors and 264 degree cams using the factory turbo and water to air intercooler setup and see where it all maxes out. I guess your experiment also confirms i would need to upsize to a full turbo back 3inch exhaust. I'll let the clutch die before changing it just to see its exact limit.
Great work. I'm amazed that you got that far with the stock head. I'm going the route I'm going just so i can say i smoked an evo or a subie with a stock engine on stock pistons and stock rods with stock management using a stock turbo and intercooler hehe.

if you're willing to take a hit in the pocket "for the team" as they say. I would like to see a dyno sheet with the current stock head with the cams for the built head installed and no porting or anything but the cams... Then a dyno sheet with the fully built head with the aftermarket cams. I'm suspicious that without a 1mm oversize of the valves on the built head the both passes may be negligibly close in power. I just wish i could prove it.
the car itself...underneath if possiable...a better shot of under the hood? whatever man

well the problem is that i have a gen3 head and im going to do shimless buckets due to lack of shims in the US, and i have to do US valves to do this.... so i mise well upgrade them and have the machine work done, OR i was actually going to just do cams and springs/retainers.... o well sux i was trying to stay on a budget lol! i ended up getting stuck with a us block and jdm head to use for this project (long story) so now that the turbo kit etc is setup for a gen3 head i kinda have to stay with the gen3 head. i have a spare here ready to build
ill prob do the built head and fx700 @ the same time.

i have a better shot of under the hood etc... let me see what i have already on my server... ill post them up here in a few mins after i sift through them
EDIT: updated the link on page 1, those were pics during mock up of intercooler piping etc. ill see if i have any more

ok so here is the update......... sorry been really busy! spare head is in the machine shop getting mild port work/clean up and ready for some new goodies
i might have bent a valve slightly in the old head due to the head being COMPLETELY stock and being right @ 500 AWHP lol. anyways, GSC S2 gen3 Cams, hks springs, BC retainers, Ferrea valves will be going into the new head. should be running again in a month~2 months or so. should make some good power now and be.... well a little more reliable! lol! o ya and the clutch will go in @ the same time, we are pulling the entire drivetrain out and doing it out of the car. need new t belt tensioner etc (due to age) but ya should be up and running properly before it gets warm out

Man You inspire me and alot of others Keep up the awsome work. 1 Question you quarter mile time of 13.1 in your sig was that before the gt35 with 265 awhp? If so I cant wait to see what it runs with almost 200 more hp. Wish I could convert a coupe to awd like a gt4
>
that was a different car
and yes that was a stock CT20b turbo that made 265 "SAE corrected" horsepower. uncorrected horsepower on that setup was about 200 awhp up here at 5800 ft. that was in my old black car.
