It's getting about that time again and as I said in the last thread I don't wanna try to have this in the dead middle of the summer. On the other side of the coin I don't want to try to have it while some of you are still in school so I'm gonna go ahead and tentatively set the date for June 13th with an optional rollover for the 14th for anyone who wants to stay over night and do it again the next day before heading home. If there is interest in that I will take the time to get some hotel quotes and try to set something up. I for one would rather sleep in Austin area rather than drive home after having driven this somewhat grueling course all day.
Austin will be the official location as usual with the run from Marble falls back into south Austin as we have always done in the past. This is due to Austin's centrallized location and it's incredible hills and twisties we've all come to enjoy so much.

As I said before, the scedule is just one I threw out there. You will notice next to my name I posted the dates I will be free and that I am flexible enough to change if need be - please do the same so that we can keep track of who can go when and setup the actual date to acommodate the largest group of attendees
Now I know some of you that have come in the past have now moved on from your Celicas but it would be retarded of you to think that you aren't welcome back just because you no longer drive a Celica - bring the new beast and let's see how it stacks up.
Also I need anyone who kept their map from the Supra cruise late last year to scan and post it up or else to send it me and I will do it for you.

I thought we were shooting for a date in May, but as long as it's no later than June I'm ok with it since most of us don't have a/c or it isn't working.
I don't think any of us want to deal with the heat like we did last year.

As soon as we get the map up I want to get with someone I know who lives in Austin so we can have a good place to meet up that has a decent sized parking lot & eat lunch before we hit the twisties.
I'd also like to find a good BBQ place to eat dinner with whoever wants to stay for that.

What's wrong with the car celispeed? Need anything?

its really just body work i need. almost every panel needs fixed. just got my timing belt replaced and idle pullys. so the motor is ok unless you have a spare 3sgte just lyin around haha. thanks though

Actually I belive we have two ATM

good thing we're having the meet in June - Vadar's leaking oil from I think the front main seal so we get to drop the motor & tranny again to replace that WHEE!
we took him out for a spin last nite & BAM! something hits the underbody under my feet -- pull over & realize a bolt holding in the power steering pump backed itself out & flew out of the car <sigh>
and to top it off i think the wideband O2 sensor is fried b/c it's not reading right & has tons of lag in the gauge
it's going to take us till June to get all the bugs worked out & get him in good enough shape to make it down.

on another note, does anyone who went to Supra meet have the maps from it? I can't find ours yet.

we put a bucket under Vadar to see if it's power steering or oil that's leaking ... big puddles are coming out whichever it is.
If he isn't up to par 100% then we'll come in R2 for sure, but we've got enough time to work out more of these bugs.
I got a couple new parts for R2 that I haven't put on yet since we've been fooling with Vadar all these months since Christmas argh.
