It finally happened...
And it broke my heart saying goodbye to all my work and pride.

I dunno if I made it apparent or not, but I actually have been on the lookout for quite some time. The Celica has just been falling apart. Basically I was keeping my eyes out on something that was bigger and more spacious, and had AWD or 4WD because where I live the weather can be crap to get around in. There were a few different kind of cars that I had my eye on, and I looked into them pretty well, it was just waiting around to see when the right one came along - and well it finally happened.

I'm now the proud owner of a 2003 Nissan Murano.
I absolutely adore it, but I will always miss my Celica. I nearly cried when deciding, but when the choice was made I knew right away it was for the better. Hell, I even kissed the damn car goodbye, because I'm just that cool...


I'll get pics of my new toy here in a bit.
Thank you to all those who helped me along the way, and open my eyes to the beauty of it. I kept my car for nearly 5 years, it was my first car, and it will always have a place in my heart. And I'm not leaving you guys, I'll still drop by, I love this community, you all have been wonderful to me.

Sabrina, you and your celi were one of icons of this forum for me... So I'm really sad reading that. However still I do understand. Everyone must move forward one day... I wish you the best with new beast.

Wow this is a shocker when i traded my celica for a hachi, both my friend and I couldnt sleep cuz we wanted our cars back. even though we live like 15 secs between hope you love your new safer?!?! ride

I'm still incredibly sad about it, because I seriously loved that car...

Oh and believe me, I couldn't sleep at all last night... I'm still so bent out of shape about it, that I almost was feeling it like it was mistake... Then this is what I woke up to this morning:

I can't really blame for wanting AWD with our winters being the way they have been recently though.

I had my reasons for picking the Murano.
I wanted something bigger, instead of being in a crammed little car, I wanted something with AWD or 4WD just to have when the weather gets bad, I have a big dog that I like to take hiking, and places in general but she's too big to jam into the back of the Celica (100lb+ Alaskan Malamute)- so hence the more room lol Just something a little more practical for me.

Its a beautiful car... Navigation, leather interior, heated seats, Bose stereo system, it handles incredibly for how big it is... I'm really happy with it. Its just getting over the celica now...

Oh and I'm not leaving you guys just because I got something else... I love yall too much

Yea I understand. I switched to the dark side though. After a Stupid Undercover FBI got into an accident with me, I lost all hope. Thing is I still have my Celica... Just sitting there. I got a Galant Vr-4 that's awesome though. True sleeper. Someday I hope the Celica will be back.

It sucks to see your celica go Sabrina. I thought your celica was the best looking convert on the site and has been for a long time. But I completely understand wanting to switch to somethin newer and bigger. I made the switch back in June and I still miss my celica. Only problem is, it sits in my driveway and stares at me every time i come home..lol. But the new car looks good, I really like Muranos, very comfortable to drive and they handel more like a car than a truck.

lots of old members moving away from celicas still visit this site more than the mini site though

NoooOOoooo . It's sad to read this. But I don't blame you, cause I've been thinking about doing the same thing . I really like the Nissan Muranos because I need something bigger to haul stuff around in. Looks like you're very happy with your new car, which makes feel the Murano wouldn't be such a bad idea hmm... haha ok well anyways, don't disappear off the face of the planet now

it's a Z50 because it has the same engine that the 350Z has, although it has been re-tuned for torque (towing power) rather than performance. nobody in the NISMO community will admit that the M'O is related to this:


BUT IT IS!!!!!!!!!! they are built on the same platform.

the SE and SL designations are packages with different options. it came in S (base), SL (power windows, auto climate control, etc.) and SE (power everything, GPS, satellite radio, etc.). it was/is also available FWD or AWD in the 3 versions.

BTW what do you think of the Bose sound system? That was a real surprise when i got mine!

And holy crap the Bose is great! Definitely very happy with that because originally when I was planning on getting a newer car first thing I was gonna do up was the sound system... Haha I dont even think thats going to be necessary now lol
