4-9pm: Downtown car show and side walk sale (this show is free), meet and greet and evening dinner for the group.

Saturday, August 8th
Lots of cruising, stop in at wineries/breweries, photo sessions, off-roading for those who dare...and more great food with great people.

Sunday, August 9th
The main car show ending at 3pm. $25 per car to enter, $20 per car if you register before July 1st. Not mandatory to enter. Depart for home on Sunday.

There are two things that we need to pre-pay for. One is the T-Shirts, so that we can pre-order them and have them ready for pickup at the meet. The second is a special lunch at the Quail's Gate Winery.

Payment is due June 20.

Okay, thanks to RyanD, we now have the design complete and our T-shirt vendor set up!

The vendors who are sponsoring the event will also have their logos on the back of the Tees. The shirts are a very high quality material and are professionally printed.

Colour will be black only.

Since we are visiting the beautiful okanagan in the heart of wine country, we will have the option to eat at one of the popular winery's bistro for lunch on saturday: Quail's Gate. This is a gorgeous location and will be a great experience to remember this event.

The first 20 people to pre-pay for this will get in as space is limited. The rest of the group can go to a number of other choices, including the Freddie's Brewpub microbrewery.

This will be our Saturday Lunch in Kelowna. The summer menu is not yet available.

Quail's Gate requires that payment come from one credit card only, so for this reason, we have to get pre-payment from people to confirm the reservation. You will pay me, and I will pay for the group on the day.

This will include meal costs only, as I will not accept payment for alcoholic beverages in advance. Drinks will be seperate. Your payment today also includes gratuity and will be $27 per person.

I will close this option as soon as I receive pre-payment for 20. This is first come, first serve.

I took a drive down to Penticton today. You will be happy to know that there is now pavement in the construction area. They are still working on the highway but the gravel is gone.

Due to 3 local MAJOR forest fires, the following roads are closed until further notice.

Hwy 97
- Both directions
- Closed just north of Peachland from Junction with HWY 97C to 4 km north at Gellatly Road because of Forest Fire. Last updated Jul 19 at 3pm.

Hwy 97c
- Both directions
- HWY 97C at Aspen Grove due to excessive smoke from the forest fire. Updated on Sat Jul 18 at 3:21 pm.

If you want to enter, you will have to be in Vernon extra early by 3:00. There is no cost to entering the show. The people coming from greater distances per the itinerary (ie. Vancouver and Calgary) are not planning to enter the show - however will walk down to catch the action.

The fires here are pretty well out, there's no more evacuations or road closures.

One week and we will be on the road from Calgary! Can't wait to drive the 205 in the mountain roads and to see 3 others around me!

Getting excited now! Can't wait to hit the road tomorrow!
