*Side-note-> I was supposed to get a ST205 3SGTE front clip with E-153 tranny(recieved 5sfe b/c they said it was too hard to install a E-153)

Man..... I got my engine from toysport the other day and when I was looking at it, it did not seem like the 3rd gen 3SGTE. At first it looked good, but I obviously noticed that the intercooler was air-air not water-air, but I could be wrong. (the 3rd gen 3SGTE intercooler has a black plastic cover with small hoses going into it, right?) Plus toysport argues that the 3rd Gen 3SGTE does not have a C20 turbo and it is nonexistant.

Well, the engine I got has a CT26 and the intercooler really looked like it was air-air. But....if they gave me a ST185 WRC, I would not mind, but that also has a water-air, and I don't know what that engine looks like.

I am pretty sure they gave me a 2nd gen 3SGTE.

I am not 100% sure if I am right with this, but if someone can help me, so I can go argue with them this weekend since I also bought the GT4 hood and bumper from them and I am going to go pick that up from them.

if the IC is air-air then no the hood wouldnt do anything... Take some pictures and we could help you out more.

edit: you could have gotten a 3rd gen, no problems from another distributer. Never, I mean never deal with toysport unless it is your last option. They will cheat, steal, and lie!

Once again ill back up toysport cuz i like them..and ill be ordering my GT4 spoiler posts from them next week..but im gonna be hardA$$ and say if its not here within a month were gonna have to make it cheaper then the discount youre giving me initially.. :-)

Yeah, it sounds (to me) like a 185. However, pics would be sweet.

On the other hand, I would take the engine back no matter what it was. You were supposed to get a clip with a certain tranny but they sent you something completely different. I'm sure it will cost the same... >>. Anyhow, seems like you got screwed. Call a lawyer if they won't take it back.

Yeah toysport is pretty shady, but they are close by and I can go argue with them to give me a free FMIC( I think they had one custom made) and I will some other stuff...IF not I will have to go there and kick some a$$, especially that fat a$$ who seems to be the owner.

But I did get a good deal for the GT4 stuff...I think. I paid 1900 for the projector lights, the front bumper, and the hood.

Yeah thats what I thought it looked like.

Mine had the mesh cover on the intercooler and it had the black cover not the silver one for the front piece.

I don't know if the ST185 RC looks like this one, but it probably is similar since it has a water-air intercooler.

Well, I gotta figure some things out.

ok this is plan and simple you ordered and paid for one thing and got another one... call a lawyer and slap them with a big a s s lawsuite.....and report them to the right people....

haha...Law suit, not yet dude. Gotta see what they will give me, plus there is a real nice guy who would clear things up for me at toysport.

Hell yeah, well I am going to call tomorrow, but I am going to try to go this Friday. I actually have my own mechanic who is doing the swap and I am trying to help out too.

The Mario dude is cool though, he was trying to help me out.

And I am sure that you are right about the C20b turbo. They didn't tell me that. I saw that on their website to check out some stuff.

And for the pieces for the GT4 hood.....he was giving me the hood and bumper this week, and he said I had to wait another week for small pieces of the hood.

But it would be cool to meet up and kick A$$hole's A$$.

the pics on the engine will have to wait.

Ahhhh Toysport, What a bunch of shady bastards...

My ordeal with them started 2 and a half years ago. My engine blew in my celica and I thought that was the perfect reason to swap for a 3sgte. I came across Toysport and thought they were a reputable company so I gave them a call. I spoke to Joel and he told me my options and I said I d email him if I decided to go for it. Well needless to say I opted to go for it but I wanted them to get me everything I needed for the swap plus I was converting to a manual so I needed all the associated parts. Joel told me he could have it ready in 2 weeks for 5 grand. I paid him half up front and the rest on completion. Well completion never came. A month went by and it was excuse after excuse. 4 months go by and still no engine, I told him he needed to do something or give me my money back, he assured me it would be done in a matter of days. Well after 6 months I told him to give me my money back but was told they couldnt do that because it was a special order and they would have to charge a restocking fee. So they kept 2000 dollars I still had no engine, I drove a rental for 6 months, Had to buy a stock engine, pay a ton to have it put in because they ripped everything out to make room for the 3sgte and 8 months later my car was on the road.

So I would look elsewhere for my engines if I were you.

if this is the black mesh u are talking about then it is a st185. They have the tmic with the mesh like this. ID RAISE HELL!

wow, hows this dude still alive... For real though it seems you might be running into problems with this a$$'s. Just call a lawyer to ask for advice if it gets worse, and If it does slap him with a lawsuit because it seems you wont get a damn thing from these guys.

Yeah I would have gotten a lawyer but they further raped me by putting a stipulation on the refund check, that when I cashed the check the matter was closed I could no longer pursue them. And being I had 10 grand invested with the engine, the stock engine, and the rental, i needed the money to buy the new engine. They really know how to screw you.

yeah, you got screwed, they sent you the wrong engine judging from your description.

its things like this that make me glad my aunt is a lawyer.

what i would have done was inspect the engine while it was still on the delivery truck, and if its not exactly what they said they sold you, dont sign for it and tell the delivery company to return to sender.

You see JabberWock, I think all of these responses are enough for me to NOT deal with ToySport. Go back to there and get what you ordered and not B.S you about restocking fees. He got me for $300 for some stupid restocking fee too.

About Mario yeah he is cool. I would seriously prefer dealing with him anyday (unless he gets like Joel).

Then those extra little parts for the GT4 H&B that he SAID he would get them in a week thats B**LS**T!! HE told me the EXACT SAME THING. Ask Natalie too. I think she waited like 4 or more months for ALL her parts.

I just hope that you make the right choice, don't get screwed like we have. And i'll see if i can go with you on Friday to ToySport. I do work but not until 2:30pm, if not we still have time.

Gosh....it seems like every place to get an engine is a sucky place. Is there any place that sells engines for our cars and doesn't suck?

Man, I originally was going to deal with Venus-Auto....it seems it would have been so much better to just deal with them.....even though they are so shady with their info.

Anyways...its a real good thing that I paid most of the stuff with credit card, because with my good credit(easy for me to cancel a payment), I could mess with toysport a lot.

I don't think I will return the engine, since it looks like it is a great engine in good condition. BUT I would at least want most of my money back or at least be provided with a FMIC and a lot of other things they could give me....hehe, especially since I need them anyways with the swap.

Also, ToyCeli8, we could do so many things to get stuff from them...we shouldn't like ruin them right away...lets try to turn things against them and make it our advantage.

1. We could threaten first with the Better Business Bureau which is not a big deal for them but if they don't comply with that, we will just report them anyways.

2. Lawyer is kinda not worth the money, but I can get my friend who is a lawyer to right them a letter and stuff, but that probably won't make them budge if they are stubborn.

3. I forgot but there is a way they could get inspected and get their License revoked.

4. Get everyone from 6gc.net, get some metal bats, get some tools, and Beat the hell out of Joel, steal all their engines and performance parts. eh...go all out and steal their rims and cars. They got a real nice Aristo there that I would take in a flash......they leave so many things out in their junkyard...man I would be so tempted to steal if I lived close by.

I got a good ass deal from Toysport, then again I'm raised in a family of lawyers, so I guess I got three motors for the price of one. Toysport is stupid so are the people that think they can't play them like a silly game.
