okay this is off topic thread so dont be a dick and lock it or bash just cuz its my thread.
anyways i went to this birch acquarium in san diego where they keep all kinds of fish.
Anytime before when i looked at fishes, i just used to watch them swim and go on with my life.
Now on this trip, i decided instead of looking at the fishes body...to STARE at the FISHES EYE.....
HOLY SHEET, OMG THIS was a new thing for me.
When I directly gazed down with my eye to the fishes eye, they flinched, looked away, and was staring at me again.....
One intersting thing i noticed is that once u stare and hold it with a fish, they WILL NOT STOP until u go away.
This one fish ****IN GROWLED AT ME,)HOLY ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
while he was moving left, his eye moved right, towards me and gave me the ANGRIEST frickin face in the WORLD(ive never seen on a fish),
he repeated this as he went in circles going left and right....bounced against the glass as if in person (pushing me to want to fight), he also started going up the water unlike the rest of the fish and came back with a PISSED off face...and this is a ****IN FISH! for christs sake
anyways i went to go tell my friend and he saw this as well, and he almost couldnt believe it either.
we tested this on several fish, and though they didnt do exactly everything like this one fish did above me, they gulped, looked away as soon as they caught me staring , and kept its eye fixed once i was staring at THEIR EYE, not just staring at them swim and their body but THEIR EYE.
My whole obeservation-All my life I never thought fishes were smart, or had good eyes....BUT DAMN i think from fish is what the evolution of our eyes came from...i also think that the FISHES actually do want to get out of the cage/tank and they WONDER why im staring at THEM, when there are other fish to look at and oooh ahhh like the rest of the kids.
Im going to talk about this to my oceanography teacher later, but just wanted to rant.
This is not some made up BS, as much as it seems like it,
If u guys have a local acquarium, DEFINTENTLY try this out, especially on bigger fish.
DAMN, i was freaked OUT especially on that fish that FRICKIN GROWLED at me, and LITERALLY HE BARKED(imagine a normal face of a fish PISSED OFF and snapping his jaws and looking at you like u wanna fight)
