depends on what you have, what you want, and how much you wanna spend. the 3s-gte is good for gt models. the 4a is a nice choice for st models. many have turbocharged the 7a and 5s too.

Sure its a big engine with great launch and mid range but its main weakness is High end power. which is the case for most FE engines of the time. that and the superior Aftermarket support most Honda's and Mitsu's have compared to our cars. None the less I love my 5S-FE even if its mated to an auto. I still hold my own at the drag strip
