hi all
i should replace my front brake pads soon. I want to improve my braking ,so ill take some aftermarket pads.But i cant choose between changing the rotors for sloted rotors or doing a st205 brakes swap.
if i consider the first option, it's for stree use, so no brakes needing warm up. which brands/models will be a good choice?
If i consider the last option, do i need to get front and back st205 calipers + rotors or just the front ones are necessary?Any other piece is needed?

if you have a way to get your hands on ST205 calipers, do the ST205 brake swap, I have a full guide that will post after I take all the pictures, but it's not too hard to do, you would have the option of using ST205 rotors, but for us US that's not easy or affordable option so I research and got another rotor with some mods to fit. if you want these rotors instead of ST205, PM me, but shipping to france would be a little pricey so I'm not sure if that's feasable for you.

i'd go with the brake swap. Unless your doing some heavy duty track days, you dont need slotted rotors at all. a good set of brake pads could do the trick. I'd pick some Hawk HP Plus pads over the brake swap personally, but then again, im just a broke college student...

Get the front and rear ST205 brakes with rotors, it will be more balance to have 4 pistons at the front, 2 pistons at the rear than 4 at the front with only one at the rear. The swap is easy and can be done within 2 hours! Iam now using TRD pads which is in black colour, the performance is perfect when working with 205 brakes.

uhuh, thanks for your answer, but after reading some stuff about all this :
the st205 rorors need to be trimmed down to an inferior diameter or/and create a piece to hold the st205 calipers.
some st202 have 2 piston calipers setup, and the front st202 front calipers and rotors can be fixed without modification, maybe ill try that instead because i do not have a place in wich i can do heavy stuff or inmobilize my car for a long period.

Im broke right now anyways , ill have to work this summer to get some money, and i need new front pads, so i ve ordered some ebc green stufff.

but i still thinking about it!
