Is there anyone that has done a 3rd gen 3sge swap here?

I have read in wikipedia that the 96-97 comes with an egr. Is this true? If so, I wonder if it will pass emissions here in cali.

Also, can a gray-top beams be a good swap for the celi? what i've read it comes in automatic tranny?

a few have done it but if you're in cali and have a 96+, it's no go.

I'm pretty sure thats only the GT Europe celica's with a 3S-GE, the JDM 3S-GE dont have EGR (as far I know)

hmm.. engine swap here in cali is so tricky. so if i get an engine from europe, it has a higher chance of passing emission. let me do more research on swaps in cali.
