If I were to replace my engine, would I have to drop it from the bottom, or can I lift it out from the top? this matters as I dont have a lift or anything and limited garage space, so I have to lift out my engine if I am to replace it...

the easiest way is with a engine lift, with the tranny connected.
you hook a chain to the lift, put use 4 links from the lift to the passanger engine hook, and ~15 to the drivers.
stick a jack under the tranny, and once all the mounts are out, you lower the tranny down, then lift the motor and tranny out together on a steep angle.
