Ok, I was just wondering if there's a difference between the convertible, hatchback, and coupe GT's. I've noticed that convertibles are a lot easier to obtain than hatchbacks and I really wouldn't mind a convertible sometimes. The engine's the same right (V4 2.2L). Any weight difference or anything like that?

umm there is no such thing as a V4... its an I4, or inline 4. and yes they all have the same engines, GT with the 2.2l and ST with the 1.8l
First off, theres nothing different in the GT's engine. Secondly the H/B is the most widely produced Celica and therefore the easiest to get. Like Chrobis said its an inline 4, the convertible weighs the most, the H/B second and the Coupe is the lightest.

Yea I know what you guys mean ... I say V4 cause it's are more used term. But thanks for correcting me, I know it's inline. And you say Hatch was most widely produced huh? I'll take your word for it but I find it much easier to find a convertible. Anyway, thanks for the information.
the reason convertibles are easier to find is I've heard that the motors go out for the top. and when they are up they look like coupes and we all know how ugly those are.

Seems to me all you can find are Conv.'s... at least in my area. A local search of celi's for sale on autotrader brings up mostly Conv.
