Hello, I could use a step by step instructional on how to install this scoop including cutting the hood and prepping to ensure no rust ever comes. Thanks!

Wouldn't put it on - just don't touch it, do you really need a hood scoop on your car?

Yea, that header in my car gets very very hot and it's already starting to crack plastic wire housings and heat everything up to where you can't touch anything. I need the air to flow in and cool it off. I sit in a lot of traffic on the way to and back from work and while I'm sitting there I could use it to vent a bit too.
Oh yeah, the header is fully wrapped with heat-wrap too.

Don't want to waste the money right now. It'll cost me at least $200 for a decent hood and the scoop only cost me $40

to do it right, its gonna cost ya at least that in materials and paint.
the hardest part of that is gonna be getting the flat wrx style scoop you bought to blend with the natural curvature of the celica hood.
if you sit in traffic alot, you would have been much better of with a vent. the scoop aint doing anything while your sitting still.
and for the rest of you guys, if you dont have anything productive to say, dont say anything at all.

Hmmm...I didn't think about the flat to curve adhesion until you mentioned it. Well, if it doesn't sit right and needs work beyond my buddies skills (which it may), then I'll just consider it a $40 loss and maybe try to re-sell it. I'm still very interested in doing something like this scoop or a vent to lower the engine bay temperature.
Do you think a body shop would be interested in installing the scoop? I know I should just call tomorrow but if one of you guys knows that body shops do this kind of stuff then that would ease my mind a bit at this current moment.

id do like pressure said - will most likely look 100 times better than a scoup
mark off an area above where the manifold sits, and cut away. then add some mesh to finish it.
look at the gt-4 hood - no scoup to speak of, just a vent hole and some outlets up the top by the windshield

I'll look more in depth along those lines. A vent would concern me though because of rain getting in and causing rust? If there wouldn't be a problem associated with that than I am for it.
what about heat wrap for the headers??

heh, reading is overrated. i like to skim through these kinda threads since theres about a million about the same topic per week
It's a hefty job to add anything to an original body parts unless the body-guy is creative or skilled in custom projects. I'd say call around, but it will take quite a certain amount of labor and time. I'd say +1 for the GT-Four Hood.
Otherwise, in the computer world you can install many small fans into your computer tower and have it set-up where the air circulates around and out of vents. Same thing can apply to cars. Mount small fans and wire them correctly, cleanly, and efficiently to where the hot air can escape (maybe through vents).
Just a theory. Keep in mind that if done incorrectly, hot air will be moving around for no certain cause and will effect operations of the vehicle. Also there will be many sounds of fans blowing besides the radiator fans, maybe wire it up based on a certain temperature where they will go off (temp sensor kind of deal)? Or maybe certain intervals of time between the fan power-ups.
Really no other way of removing heat while the car is sitting besides a radiator upgrade or a crazy "interfooler" set-up that "actually work!"
