It is california and many times we end up at the beach.... if we do an all day thing we could always do a beach cruise hit up Neptunes Net (shrimp place in fast and the furious). Then head over the hills via malibu canyon to angeles crest hwy and hit up Mt Wilson or simply find a chill spot on mulholland over looking the beach..... or head back down to santa monica peir and do that pacific park/arcade area (parking is guna be 10 bucks all day but we probably will find space for all of us together)

not sure what time neptuns net closes but if we make it early we perhaps can meet up in long beach, then cruse up to Venice to get lunch, then hit up Santa Monica for pacific park/arcades/chilling on the beach, then continue north and hit up Neptunes net for a supper kinda deal, and then if ppl are still down hit up angeles crest or find a place on mulhulland (with out getting to crazy on the canyons that is)

we could do a bbq somewhere too... perhaps up in the mountains.. however finding somewhere our cars can access might be iffy

theres also speedzone if all else fails and dont forget shooting pool in korea town and some late night snacks

just some ideas

all of that sounds pretty legit and i'd be there

I'm down for that. I don't want to go to no car parts store either. Beach BBQ Cruise sounds good, I mean.... What else would car enthusiasts do? We wanna be by our cars, we want to meet up, hang out. What more could you ask for?

Also can I make a request? Can we please go somewhere good for shots/pictures? I am really looking forward to this and I am inspired by the East Coasters to want to take a camcorder and make a video, plus I really really really want to take pictures. Don't worry, even though I can't use Photoshop for $#!T, I won't let any flaws stand out on your car. I just need the experience.

i have a go pro camera (if you guys know what that is). so ill mount that up on my car when we go driving so we can get some drive by's and what not.

i was at a srt4 meet in newport beach and it was actually a great spot. it was out on the peninsula and right next to the beach. really easy to get to and was laid back. there were many places to eat within walking distance and the pier was right next to the parking lot. cops went through the lot a few times, but they never hassled any of us, only the people out on the beach with huge bonfires. just putting the idea out there as an idea.

I don't have a SLR camera, but I do want to take pics with mine and try to get some video in too. But I hope we can begin an annual North/South meet and switch up on location each year, in addition to whatever meets have have in the future.

I really would like it though if we hit up a nice beach and a nice drive. Plus some eats?! Oh hell yeah.

Alright, Date Changed Craig. Hmm, beach sounds good to me. I would like to go to k1speed if you guys want to. Its about $20 a race plus a yearly pass which is another $6. Maybe if we get a group of 10 or more we can get a discount at like $15 a race. Im not sure though, all i know is that if you buy 2 you get 1 race free.

I was going to return my camera, cause bro got fired from job, but i couldn't after all because best buy has a 2 week return policy and i surpassed it.

So ill be bringing my Nikon Coolpix p90. its no slr, but one of the best digital camera's on the market right now.

wait um how do you change it so i can put the date??

Craig also talk to eggman 40 cause i know he wants to come as well but he hasn't replied yet... cause hes outta town right?

Not that I can speak for everyone else, and not entirely sure on what K1speed is even, but I am going to just note that not all of us are of that area, and that $20 could go towards contributing towards a BBQ if we decide to do that, plus the gas for a cruise (which sounds like a good idea for me). So I dunno.... I mean if Derrick came from all the way where he is, I doubt he would want to dish out $20 on top of his gas getting to the meet, you know? Again, not to discourage, but just to not put too many ideas out there other than a simple meet that is universal, and when I say universal, something we are all familiar with and nothing so much that caters to locals (as far as easy to access/do/etc..), you know? For instance, we wouldn't want to have a meet and all go to an arcade. You can go to the arcade by yourself and not everyone will want to be in an arcade. I know I would sit by my car the whole time if I wasn't familiar with the location. That's all I am saying....

I am sending you this link anyways, but glad you joined if this is infact you. No too many Central Valley people up on here. Glad you made it. If you want, you can meet up with me in Bakersfield since you gotta come out this way to get out to the meet anyways and we can follow each other out there. Hey, I will hit you up like that Friday just to make sure. I hope we can get together early, because I love an early morning drive. I hate getting up at the crack of dawn, but GOD is it a nice drive! Anyhow, we meet up, roll out to Ventura, stop and get a bite to eat, and then we meet up with everyone. Or we can eat here or I can meet up with you somewhere inbetween if you like. Honestly, it's cool to have meets like this, but I am kind of upset that we never really set up or started an Annual Meet for North and South. But I guess that's why they say East Coast just knows how to do it better, I thought we could pull it together. Then again, for some reason a lot of us on the West Coast seemed all pump for these things and then back out last minute. Hopefully we do have a good turn out. So whoever is going, hold yourself accountable and sign up on whatever list on this topic you can find and hold yourself accountable to show up.

Next to your name, post what you want to do for the meet, plus two other alternatives and we will take the majority vote on it and do exactly that. I think we meet up, bbq on or around a beach, chill for a bit, and then take a cruise, followed by pictures or whatever, and that will pretty much eat up most of the day believe it or not. But that is like an example. Because it seems people are still trying to suggest different things, so we make it straight to the point and a list of who is coming FOR SURE.

I am just suggesting, because maybe there might be people who don't want to do that and when they discover what it is, might find it difficult to have a good time because their plans are ruined. At any rate, it would be best to just have it set up so you know what exactly to expect. So I am going back to my name on the list and editing it.......

Hey, I dunno my way out there, do you think maybe..... if it isn't too much trouble..... we just all roll out together to get the goods? I kinda feel funny about having an ice chest with stuff in the car with the possibility of water from the ice getting in my car, say the lid should pop up. And again, I don't know my way out there to be driving around areas that I may or may not belong in. Just asking, that way we can knock it all out then and there (I say we also get together early as well, or atleast those willing to bring things that needs chillin'). Oh wait! LOL I can just bring drinks and chips. Let me know what type of drinks you guys like then, and if the majority is going to go with just one type, or if is only us 7 (I think 2 24 packs should be good and if we have more people then I will buy more) then I will bring something else that is essential to our BBQ as well.

So quote this and I am going to toss out there two drinks that I am fond of. This will let me know what I need to get.

I dunno what time you guys plan on being up, but I hate the heat here in my town and I like to avoid the major traffic. So I am leaving here at about 5:30-6AM and will take my time, but I more than likely can reach around where some of you reside by no later than 9AM, in fact I am positive I can probably even do it in less than 2 hours, but like I said, I plan on meeting up with Sir Arthur from Visalia, and when we hit Valenica, get a bite. From there, might take us another 45min with some traffic to hit up the LA area. I am just going to go ahead and give it 3 hours. But yeah Bonzai, let us know. We have until 8:30pm before it starts to get dark, so maybe a time when 1 will be available as well, so there is a time figure for who can meet up with who, when and where, at or prior to the meet.
