we all must do a celebrity lap time here on 6gc with top gear rules. It would be awesome!

If enough people are into it, i could set a timetrial, with a different car/track every week once we've got into it smile.gif

I would DEFINITELY be down for that!! And how in Top Gear, they have the "Wet" category, in GT5, we could have the "PS3 controller" category for those of us who don't get wheels.

Do you guys know if the main screen will be set up in the same kind of 'map' layout as the previous GT installations?

My favorite was GT4! And I hope I can find a used GT-Four like I did in GT4. I put the stage 4 turbo in it just to see (I usually use stage 2, that's my favorite balance of power and response for track), and that thing was BEAST. Did the 1/4 drag in 8.9 sec

I think they have ditched the map setup... You can be certain that the menus will be beautiful though smile.gif

In fact, even the tuning screens are sexy as hell! The parts are all 3D models that are used in-game, even the engine :-O

as far as racing games go Forza 3 is good and looks good at speed, when stationary or going slow you can see the graphics aren't amazing but in a racing who drives slow?

Those menus are insanely awesome! I want the game so bad!!! Even though I am a fan of Forza it doesn't have S&*%on Gran Turismo. I bet my 360 will sit there just collecting dust once I get gt5.

Who here has or is going to buy a racing wheel for this? I used to have a Logitech wheel with my PS2 but I would have to sacrifice some motorcycle parts to be able to afford one for the PS3 before the game comes out.

I'm going to buy the game first, see if I like it, and then pick up a wheel. Or if I feel like I have loose change rattling around, I'll get it all at once...but I have a feeling that I won't.

is there a wheel out there that has a 5spd/6spd shift along with a clutch?

otherwise im so ready for this game!
