hi,

first of all im not sure, that this is the place to post this.

but i want to paint my engine car, and i was wandering what kind of paint should i use? anyone have any suggest on what kind of paint i should use? or brand?

im planning to paint my car chrom and red, planning to paint the whole engine.

thanks in advance.
Engine enamel & heat proof paint is sold in spray cans from your auto parts store for DIY.

1st you'll need to clean off the surfaces with degreaser and a wire brush, you may need some fine sandpaper somewhere between 240 grit and wet&dry if you rough it up too much.

Removing the parts and sending them away to a professional for "powder coating" is better than painting it yourself though, they bake it on in an oven and it bonds alot better, the surface is harder and less prone to smudge and grease stain, also you can have any colour you like with powder coating, they can mix whatever.

you would be lucky if it lasted a week, you need extreme heat powder coat for it to last haha
You can buy exhaust paint too, heat proof to 650 Celsius, some are even better.

I think if you're going to remove the heat shield you should use the exhaust wrap stuff, It's totally functional and if done right it doesn't look too shabby.
