0 offset wheels on 6GC. - 6G Celicas Forums

Hi everyone,

before I post any pictures i would like to hear your thoughts on how do you guys think this wheels would look like. If you dont know what they look like here's a link

Sportmax 002 on a Civic

They are 16X8 Sportmax 002 with 0 offset.

you're opinion will be greatly appreciated.

Personally they're not my thing...

don't Honda wheels have a different bolt pattern than Celicas? I thought Civics were like 4x100 or something. Ours are 5x100.

yup they are

frankly speaking i like it thumbsup.gif too bad that punk sold the rims before i had a chance to put them on.
here they are on my friends rolla 16x8 0 offset

These wheels come in our bolt pattern also. 5X100.


the reason i like them is because they look oldschool.

I don't think these would suit a celica at all. They suit that civic or something like a R32 skyline or a 250 but not a celica

I don't like the look of those at all. Flush to the fender at the most. When they stick out, I think they look ridiculous. thumbsdown.gif

To each their own and if you like them, that's what matters, just don't get pissy when I laugh at your car as it goes by as I am entitled to my own opinion too. biggrin.gif

they do come in bolt pattern 5X100. 16X8 0 offset.

Not a fan...I think a Celica takes to things that accentuate sportiness...if you will, a Corolla is a bit of a boring-looking car, so it takes to different styles better...as in that.

5x100 or not - they won't fit with a 0 offset. Ideal Celica offset is +42 to +35. Any more and you'll rub the strut, any less and you'll rub the fender/ stick out of the fender.


And if you're going to have them stick out you might as well put chrome trim on everything, chrome fade tint, curb feelers, hydraulics, velvet interior, and everything else to fit in with the stereotype of a hispanic individual with poor taste.

Throw some mud terrain tires on there and a 3" lift and you'll be good to go wheeling.........oh wait thats a corolla not a Jeep. thumbsdown.gif

I am hispanic and believe me the style you described there is definately not my preference at all.

as for turning my car into a mud rider is not what my plans are...lol

i do like the agressive look, staggered, making the car look mean or something like that. the offset that would fit a corolla does not necesarilly mean that is perfect for our cars or viseversa. the corolla is definatelly a bad example of how it would look like. if you look at the link at the beginning of page, it will show you more of what i'm aming for.

i'm not offended by all these comments by the way, i really appreciate all of your comments. i just want this to be a fun thread.

Didn't mean for mine to be a hurtful comment, more of just a joke (I used to be into Jeep and offroading and thats what it reminded me of) smile.gif

The Civic you referenced definitely looks better than that Corolla...that Corolla just looks ridiculous. Wheels that are flush with the fenders can look pretty good, but sticking out from the car doesn't look all that great IMO. But, it's your car!

But 0 offset just won't fit. I understand you want some sort of dish/concave in your wheels to give the aggressive look, but you'll be hard pressed to find that. Go look at www.wheeldude.com I know this guy sells Rotas with some good concave in an offset that will fit. I wonder what a Celica would look like with a set of Rota J-Mags...

Only if you get that beaded fringe stuff you see in old skool taxis, and faux fur headliner. Lest we forget the mirror ball rear view mirror ornamentation. laugh.gif

Well anyway those wheels still aren't really my taste at all... I think they're better suited for either small hatchbacks (like little hondas or somthing) or actually a genuinely old skool car, like an old plymouth or a Cutlass or something. I saw a late 60s Valiant the other day with similar wheels on it, but very wide rear tires. The car was obviously hot rodded, and in this case, I thought it looked WAY cool. I think if you're gonna do it, go the whole way, but like total rockabilly style.

Those, IMO, are more of a Honda style wheel. Celicas are a bold car, they need a bold wheel. Bold, but still clean.

it needs a drop badly in the rear.

it's aactually an ST. I just happened to find a trunk lid that had the GT badge on it.

They are just black skirts, I'll paint them one of these days.

as for the wheels, I was always so interested how the 0 offset fit. I really like them, I know it's my taste, but i'm glad I got them.

I do not like wheel sink to wheel arch... however this is too much for me. Moreover having rims like this is not legal in here (to make it legal you need to pull out fenders to cover that oversize because it's too much over top view)... so why bother wink.gif

Thanks Malpaso, for that reason I need to bend my fenders so it doesnt rub, I might have to pull them a bit, if need be.

i've been wondering about these exact wheels for a while now, and i really REALLY like them on the 6th gen personally.

Fender roll, precise ride height, and a pinch of camber is all you need for an aggressive stance now

Edit: easier said then done, i kno i kno. dont forget significantly stiff suspension to ensure a rub free ride

IMO i love them. i actually was wondering how they would look on a celica. i think it looks awesome. way to try something out. good job thumbsup.gif
