Cold Air Intake - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #6841 10 posts Started by Calipso
you could make one yourself for about half that
Those pictures are just taken from Dolecek Racing's website, if its not John selling the intake on Ebay, someone should let him know. Anyways, I just bought all the parts to make a CAI and I'm just waiting now for my silicon couplings to come in so I can put it all together. I think I spent around $80 for everything including shipping. There's a how-to article on making one and if anyone has any questions about it you can ask me too. I wouldn't spend $120 on that one on ebay though, I'd rather just build it myself, its cheaper and more fun too. >smile.gif>
I've sent him a message. Thanks for the heads up guys.
So..... Are the ones on evilspeed.com for the Celica GT (it looks like it in the picture). And is it worth it??? >biggrin.gif>
Nope, they're not made to fit the GT although I have had customers that bought them and supposedly made them work on a GT. I don't recommend that, but there aren't a lot of other options unless you want to make one yourself.
Have you ever thought about making them for the GT, it could be a money maker, you never know cuz it seems like there's always people asking about it

Ok, I tried what someone on here suggested.. To just get a civic intake, i ordered a short ram 92-95 civic intake but the sent me a cold air.. so i just ripped out all the plastic intake crap and the just put in.... it took about 30 min... didnt have to cutanything at all....... theres a opening righ tunder the fuse box, so when you remove you old stuff it will fit right down..... oh yeah it was onyl 28 bucks il get a pic on later today... hope this helps
