O2 sensor ? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #68517 6 posts Started by bdog_v
Hello I have a 94 gt 5 speed 2.2 liter cellica I am thinking of getting an air fuel gauge to help me see how my mileage is doing just for curiousity sake.

1.I am wondering what the O2 sensor is on our cars from the factory> Is it a wideband or a narrowband O2 sensor?

2.also what air fuel gauge would you buy to try and figure out maximum fuel mileage? A narrow band gauge or a wideband airfuel guage. * I have searched the internet and can't find a reason why the wideband would be a better one to use, (even though it seems to be recomended)it is very expensive around $200. I want one with a digital number reading not a set of lights. Thanks....

SAFC is about 250$, wideband o2

Thnaks for the reply. Can you tell me why a wideband is better to use? Also if you use a wideband gauge then you also have to add a new wideband O2 sensor to work with the gauge correct as the factory narrowband won't work with the wideband gauge?

It has a reading of 10-20 AFR I don't see why this wouldn't do the job and its only $50. What am I missing?

oh your just looking to check ur milage, SAFC is tuned for power and direct Air flow ratio's. yea thats fine
those are gauges ONLY, no sensor.

i have a used setup, AEM 6in1 wideband you can have for $120+shipping with a gauge cup included so you can mount it somewhere.
