New supra tail light & rear end conversion - 6G Celicas Forums

ok people so far im running low on money an supplies lol but i should at least be done with blending the rear end and giving more of a rounded look to go with the sides and get rid of that square ish look the lip had originaly let me know wut you think i might be changing it some depending on how i like it
but should be done tomarrow im taking a break for the night

not speedholes but two speed vents with grilles, one below each tail light semi triangular, it would look so sick and match so perfectly that rear bumper, also the 3rd brake light needs to be longer, the supras is longer and the edge of the hatch is smoother, you might want to check those things,I LOVE how its coming toguether, everything looks so awesome! also on the rear of the rear fender a semitriangle with a grille would look amazing!
PS also try to mark lines that devide the rear fender from the rear bumper to give it a more natural look

waiting for LEDs for next projectWOW recieved the LEDs, just tested a set up on a breadboard and I can barely see anything lol. I think I'm closer to being blind !!

lol i was referring to simpsons ..you know shoot up the car and say there speed holes lol. Well i am going to be doing the vents i actually havnt started on this yet i just finished the front custom made kit and will be fiber glassing tomarrow im so tired lol so little sleep smile.gif ill be posting picts of the front end today let me know wutyou thin k guys mind my bad spelling smile.gif

and if you dont want to do the vents, just sand it down prime it and paint it, its basicly done, vents are optional.., you could do the l8er
man.. your Celipra is coming out so nice!!!you have some nice talent man, you are an artist!

In case u'r interested.... it's a guy up here in Quebec who totally modified his 6gc and did tghe same as you : supra tails

yeah im almost done but i need to do the vents you were talking about still smile.gif im still planning on doing vents and ive got a small trunk leak i intend on fixing as well do to all the metal work i did i just havnt completly cleaned up my work yet ... i kinda like the way that other conversion looked kinda it alot less work the way he did it hmmmmm ideas ideas

well im thinking of molding the rear end after im done with soooooo i might be selling a complete conversion kit later in the year if anyone is interested

Yuck I hate the rear bumper, that the only reason I never bought that bodykit!!, I bet Deathdoakill's will be 999999999999.99 times better than that sorry excuse for a bumper on that blue celi!, keep us updated man!!! yours is the BEST!! Keep it up!!

Lol, why would he want the front touching the ground? And why is there a large 4 inch gap between the door and the fender even though the door is closed?

And yea, that rear was never my cup of tea.

Cuz if you look at all the pictures carfully they are butterfly doors and the car is air ride equip (pneumatic suspension just like lowriders)

I've seen Lambo doors on a 6GC without that gap.

UPDATE, UPDATE UPDATE, dude! you have me worst than a guy waiting in the Emergency room to be told that its a boy! lol, just take at least 2 pictures of exactly how its now, even if there is no change just to calm us down for a couple of days, but show us something! lol

Depens on the angle, brand, latch type etc... maybe its the fender that have been cut i dont know! I met the guy once in a car show that's about it...

your supra rear conversion looks better then that blue celica one... yours is modded to look like a supra no just a tail light conversion... you got more custom fabrication then him.. i see what you did with the hatch lines , riding them on top the tail lights... thats the right way to do that conversion.. i fabricated my hatch lines also if you look in my profile.. i rounded the corners... looks so much better IMO

sigh the cold sucks my fingers are frozen solid an bondo/fibeglass are drying to slow now

try baroing an electric heater or a hair blower(dryer) or I guess you could wait for a warm day, if I could pray I would have had for a sunny day, but if you feel the weather wont let you continue the project we will understant if you put it on hold for a couple of weeks/months frown.gif, unless you cou;d borrow a friends garage or something, next summer go to car clubs and shows and make some friends that share the same passion for cars like us, and ask them to let you work in their garages every now and then you know and just get them a couple of bears or something and maybe do them a couple of favors a or help them with anything, I've made really good friends on shows and they are really nice people. you should give it a try.
best luck and hope for a warmer day and as desperate as I am to see the project done, I will wait and man if you onle lived closer I could have hooked you up with my cousins garage! he said that whenever I want to do anything to my car that his doors are open and he has a really hot heater in there, all you have to do is move close to paterson NJ and I can convince him of lending the garage to you.

yeah colds not the problem i work in the cold but just takes a bit longer to harden though ive got some progress done as far as cleaning it up but for now im trying to get somewhere with the front as it looks pretty bad an i have no front turn signals but in a day or too ill post some more pics of the rear sorry for the wait guys smile.gif

NO TURN SIGNALS!?!?!?! DUDE YOU CAN GET A TICKET FOR THAT, use at least 1 yellow/amber LED to at least have something incase a cop stops you, unless you want to pay fines

yeah there will be soon during end of the month. im working overtime right now on both front end and rear im waiting on some parts for the rear as well as carbon hatch an sides i ordered so i can cut up just taking to long though be posting soon
